My dearest Butler

Chapter 53

I let myself plop down on my soft and comfortable bed. "God, I've missed this bed." I groan out as I close my eyes. I hear Lu chuckle to himself.

He strokes my head and I open my eyes again to find him smiling down at me. I take his hand and pull him on the bed too, only to cuddle myself close to him. "So..." Lu sighs. "What do you plan to do? Officially take over the throne again?"

"Guess so." I mumble. "But maybe we should just stop living separated from humanity."

"So... You want to tell people we exist?"

"No." I shake my head. "People are not ready for that. And probably won't ever be. All I'm saying is that we could just live more human lives and not force ourselves to be the weird kid no one wants to talk to."

"Hm." He thinks for a moment before saying "I know you feel embarrassed about what happened, but the people loved you and still do. You're a great Queen and that you're thinking about giving it up for your people only proves how worthy you are to sit on that very throne. But this is a decision you have to make and no matter what you'll do, you have my back."

"Thank you." I whisper

He wraps his arms around me and soon sleep takes over us.

"Good morning" Lu says, placing a kiss on my forehead. I smile and open my eyes. "Good morning, Lu." I kiss him and get out of bed. "Let's do this."

"So, you've made your decision?" He asks curiously.

"Yes. I think it's time for supernaturals  to move on. I know this might cause a lot of chaos but I think it's for the best this way. Most people want to live more human lives anyway, so I don't think anyone would rebel again their freedom. If they don't like it, they can just keep to themselves and hide like they used to. Just without a Queen ruling over them."

I open the closet and pick a dress to wear. "Get dressed too, I'll make an announcement on a couple hours to make everything official."

Lu jumps over to me in vampire speed to grab a suit. "And what do we do then?"

"Then?"

"Like, where will we go and what should we do with our lives?" He asks. "I don't know." I tell him honestly. "Maybe move back to north Germany, buy a house and get a job. Live the live we never really had. I guess that sounds about fine."

"Sounds like a plan." He says with a cheeky grin on his face. "Can't wait for a lifetime with Amanda Black, which in our case is forever." He kisses me before quickly getting dressed. I put on my clothes too and tell an employee to gather everyone in the throne room.

After Lu and I had breakfast and just talked for a couple hours, we both walk into the now with all sorts of people filled  throne room. Vampires, demons, other undead creatures, strix, witches, werewolves and other shifters watched us and waited to hear the reason for this assembly.

"Undead, witches and shifters. We all are supernatural creatures and have our sub kingdoms, cities or countries while humans don't even know that we exist." I start off. "But after everything that has happened I came to think about it all. Yes, I made a mistake when I trusted the head and married the alpha. You don't know this but they plotted against me and tried to kill me which is why they have been executed. By me. And I started thinking about the system we live in. It doesn't really make sense, if we're being honest. We're hiding in a parallel world instead of living with the other species. I think we should try to live more human lives and bit by bit prepare humanity so one day they can know about our existence without becoming a threat to us or mainly themselves."

I take Lu's hand in mine. "I want a world where humans and supernaturals peacefully live together without fear for one another. Taking back the throne would prevent this from ever happening since I as Queen would only rule over certain species thus keeping us separated from others and giving us the possibility to start a war at a different species. Let's move on from the past and also move on from wanting to be the most powerful kind to ever exist and just be normal."

Cheers erupt and people clap. This is going just as well as I hoped. "Whoever doesn't want to live among others may choose to live their lives isolated. After all, you're all free. Starting now. I wish you all the best, may each and everyone get the life they always wanted. Go ahead, spread the message and live your lives."

After talking to a few people and them telling me that I always did the right thing for my people which is why they will do their best to make a world for everyone possible,

Telling me that I truly am a Queen

Wishing me good luck for my life, and so on, Lu and I decide to pack the most important and precious things so we could move away and move on.
