"the alphas in his office. lets go."

Skyler's POV:

They took me to the alphas office, and I was terrified. I was thinking of all the beatings I had gotten there in my pack.

They opened the door and the alpha's head snapped up to look at me. He looked like he was in his mid-thirties with dark hair and blue eyes with bags under them from lack of sleep.

"Who is this," he asked in an irritated tone.

"We found her on our land alpha," one of the guys holding my arms said.

"Very well, now go," he told the three that brought me here and pointed at the door. They released their iron grip on me and left me alone with the alpha.

"Sit," he ordered. "Why are you on our land?"

"I ran away from my old pack," I said, staring at the floor.

"Which one?"

"Blue Moon."

"Imossible."

"What?" I looked up at him, shocked.

"I know everybody in that pack, so if that's the case, why have I never seen you before?"

"Do you remember the old betas of that pack" I asked.

"Of course. They, along with their daughter, died in a rogue attack."

"Well, they lied to you."

"What?" He looked genuinely confused.

"Yeah. My parents did die. I was blamed because I didn't save them, even though I was only eight years old. Ever since, I've been that packs punching bag. Today, when my mate rejected me, I realized that I've had enough of their cruelty, so I left."

He just sat there, staring at me for a few minutes before saying something I definitely wasn't expecting.

"Would you like to join the fire stone pack?"

"Yes" I said without any hesitation.
