Rejected By the Alpha (On Hold)

Chapter 10

Skyler's POV:

I sat on my bed, in tears after listening to Nathan talk. He was right, I didn't regret giving him five minutes.

I knew his reasons for tormenting me. I was still slightly hurt, but I decided to give him a chance.

The reason he hated me so much was that he was told that I wanted the rogues to kill our parents because I was mad at them. I was hurt that he believed them, but now I understood why he wanted nothing more to do with me.

He left with a goofy smile on his face and I began wiping the tears away, exited to finally have a brother again. I heard another knock on my door and my good mood disappeared completely when I recognized their scent. Blake.

Blake's POV:

I smiled as I felt Skyler's happiness through the extremely weak, but still present mate bond. I decided to talk to her while she was in a good mood.

I went upstairs, following her scent, and came to a stop outside one off the guest rooms. I paused, unsure if this was actually a good idea, or if it was just stupid. I knocked anyways.

"Skyler," I said in a soft voice, "will you please open the door?"

"Not to you," she said in a bored tone.

"Please," I begged. That's right people, I Blake Adams the badass alpha was begging my mate to open the door.

"Fine but you're not coming in, got it?"

"Yes now please open the door."

She opened the door, and she looked absolutely stunning. She was wearing a neon blue v-neck that made her look sexy, not slutty, and ripped jean shorts that showed off her long legs.

"I am telling you right now Blake," she spat, saying my name like it left a bad taste in her mouth, "you are not coming up here to ask for forgiveness, or to ask me to give you a chance, because it is not happening. You are gonna have to earn me, and it ain't gonna be easy. Got it?"

"Yes, and that's all I ask of you, is to let me prove myself to you. I will get you back Skyler, and that's a promise."

"Get me back?" she scoffed. "You never had me. You rejected and humiliated me in front of everyone, then I left."

"Yeah, I know. But you left out one thing."

"And that would be?"

"When your brother found out you left because of me, he kicked my ass."

You know what Skyler's reaction was? She laughed. She laughed at the fact that her brother kicked her mate's ass. In fact, she was still laughing as she shut the door in my face. That was the first time I had ever heard her laugh, and it was the most beautiful sound I had ever heard.

As I laid in bed, my only thought was that I have to make that beautiful girl mine.
