Skyler's POV

When Blake left, I didn't want to do anything but sleep, so that's exactly what I did.

I woke up not to long after I fell asleep to the sound of knocking.

"Whoever that is, you better have damn good reason for knocking because-oh my God sweetheart what's wrong? Come in," I said, letting Sapphire in.

"What's wrong Saph?" I asked, sitting her down on my bed.

"I-I found my m-mate," she finally managed to get out before breaking down into tears again.

"Did he reject you? Do I need to kick his ass for you?"

"He didn't reject me. I told him that I didn't want him."

"What? Why? You've been dreaming about finding your mate for your whole life! Did he do something to hurt you?"

"It's not so much a what he did as a who he was."

"Who is he?"

"If I tell you, you'll never want to speak to me again," she said, her sobs turning into sniffles.

"Sweetie of course I'd still speak to you. You're my best friend."

"It's, um, it's y-your brother."

"Aw, sweetie, I've forgiven him and you should too," I said, giving her a hug.

"Really?" she asked with a hopeful look on her face.

"Yes, now go find lover boy!" I said, shoving her off her bed.

Nathan's POV:

My beautiful, perfect mate doesn't want me. I thought to myself, sitting on my bed and crying like a girl during a chick flick, but quieter.

I realised how pathetic I was being, and wiped my eyes. I just sat there in silence for about ten minutes before hearing someone knock on the door.

I immediately knew who it was by the amazing smell. My mate Sapphire.

I opened the door and she was standing there about to knock again, and when she saw me, she burst into tears.

"I'm so sorry for earlier Nathan and I, Sapphire Martinez, accept you, Nathan Johnson as my mate. I did want you, but I thought that if I accepted you, Skyler would never want anything to do with me, but she told me that she forgave you so here I am."

"Well, I, Nathan Johnson accept you, Sapphire Martinez as my mate, and I'm not mad at you. I never could be. You are my beautiful, perfect mate, and I could never be mad at you."
