*17th January 2041*

I woke up at 7:00 to hear raindrops hitting the roof. As I shot up and ran to the bathroom to have a warm shower I was thinking about what is going to happen today.

I was just about to get out of the shower when someone knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" I shouted over the loud noise of the running water.

"Its luke... how long are you going to be?" He was shouting, his voice was gradually getting louder with every word.

"10 minutes" I replied turning off the shower, drying myself and changing into my black school skirt, tights, school top and jumper. I rushed to put on some foundation and eyeliner.

As I opened the door I was still putting my pearl earrings in and Luke was staring at me.

"Whats the special occasion?" he asked.

"There's no occasion, can't I go to school looking nice and without being judged?" I said pushing him out of my way.

I jumped into my car with Luke siting next to me playing on his guitar singing a song he wrote 'she looks so perfect' I listened to some of the lyrics he was singing and rolled my eyes when he sung 'American apparel underwear'. Why would you put that in a song? That's just weird.

"Can you pick up Calum please?" Luke asked.

"Fine" I said rolling my eyes again.

After we quickly turned down his street we arrived at Calum's house. He ran out in skin tight jeans and a ripped top he opened the door and slammed it shut.

"Be careful with my car Calum" I scolded turning my head towards him.

"Sorry, babe" he replied sarcastically.

"You have idiotic and childish friends" I said to Luke loudly so Calum could hear

"I know I do!" He said grinning.

As I walked around a corner someone walked into me making me drop my books and notes all over the floor.

"Ugh,look were you are walking...idiot" I said siting on the pavement picking my things up one by one.

"I'm so sorry....Kerri" I heard a male voice, I looked up slowly and Ashton was standing there staring at me

"Hi Ashton" I said as he reached out for my hand to help me up.

"What's with all the books?"

"Oh....I'm just a book worm" I said looking at the floor.

"Well I have to go meet Luke and the others." he said looking around the car park

"Ok see you later"

"I know I will!" He said smiling

I was still starrng at him but as I watched his retreating back a small smile made it's way into my lips.

......

I walked to class all alone, one again I see ashton near my locker just standing there. I look down pretending I didn't know he was there.

'code:5,20,5,50' *click*

Ashton slammed my locker door and he bit his lip.

"Hey Kerri" His Australian accent was clear in his husky voice.

"Did they dare you to flirt with me" I said pushing my hair to the side.

"No, I just like you" he said grabbing my waist and pulling me so our noses were a few inches apart. I felt his warm breath on my neck and I instantly tensed.

"What do you think your doing you dick if you want to fit in you dont need to do this. Just get away" I pulled away and stormed off.

If he really wanted to fit in he just had to act himself. Using me to make friends isn't going to help him at all. It just makes me feel worthless and it doesn't get him any friends.

I ran into the toilets and wiped away the few tears that had run down my cheeks. Grabbing a makeup wipe I carefully got rid of the mascara stains without ruining my foundation.

"Kerri, what did ashton do?" Luke barged in.

"He is trying to fit in by flirting with me but we can talk about it later. But right now you need to get out of the girls toilets" I said elbowing him and laughing.

"If he hurts you then I'll hurt him" he said hugging me and then walked out.

"Did I just see luke come out of here or was I imagining things?" Ruby said pointing her thumb to the door.

"Yeah, he wanted to know what ashton did" I said looking in the mirror again.

"well...what did he do?" Ruby asked.

"He just tried to flirt but I ran in here. It wasnt a good kind of flirting it was fake I knew he's just doing it to fit in with my brother because he's flirt. It's so stupid." I said hitting my fists against the sink. "excuse me" I said walking out.

"Just ignore him kerri he just wants to fit in. He'll leave you alone if you ignore him." She pointed out.

"I guess your right"
