*21st January 2041*

"vampire" we chorused as the woods echoed

"But we barely know each other, how do you know that you trust me with this secret." I said walking into the sunlight.

"I just knew I could trust you since the first day of school." Ashton said walking towards me.

"But you can't always trust the quiet girl in class." I said, my gaze on the forest floor.

"You might be quiet but you're different. Your not like the other people I know, over the years I've never meet anyone quite as extraordinary as you." He said biting his lip and rocking on his heels.

"But-"

"No buts; it's the truth. I speak the truth." Ashton said closing his eyes.

"Thanks Ashton" I smiled at him.

All of a sudden a thunderous sound erupted from the sky.

"Let's go before we get electrocuted, jump on my back." He said, and I climbed onto his back.

Ashton ran as fast as the lightning hitting the ground. Before I knew it, we had arrived at my house dripping with rain.

"What do you think your doing outside now?" My mum said angrily.

"It started to rain while we were out." I said jumping off of Ashton's back and laughing.

"Next time come back as soon as it starts raining." She said leading me into the house.

"Where's Luke?" Ashton asked my mum.

"Luke's in the garage. He's been waiting for an hour for you." My mum answered as she crossed her arms.

"Thank you Mrs. Hemmings, see you later Kerri" Ashton winked at me and walked to the garage.

"Ashton!" I shouted before he entered the garage.

"Your secret is safe with me." I said smiling.

"Thanks!" He grinned at me. I gasped as I saw a flash of his fangs, but after a second they had disappeared.

I changed out of my wet clothes and into clean, dry ones.

My curiosity led me to my laptop and I searched up types of vampires. There were so many results and most of them I'd never heard of. I clicked on a few links and looked at some of the images.

There was one picture that stood out the most from the others. It showed a creature, that looked half human half gargoyle, it was eating someone and a body lay at the monsters feet. I clicked on the link for the 'evil' vampires. There wasn't much information apart from the fact that they were a mystery. Nobody had ever found them, they're thought of as only mythical creatures.

The other searches were mixed, there were both good and bad. Vampires are rare and they're described as 'bipolar, protective and dangerous.' It kind of describes Ashton.

Which category is Ashton in though? Is he good or is he evil? I need to find out before this gets too serious. Things could get out of hand.
