[A/N: Story idea credit to soleimye. This is my favorite story that I've written by far. I hope enjoy my longest chapter yet!]

Everyday I walk down these halls unnoticed. My raven black hair hiding my face and a textbook pressed to my chest as I quickly walk from class to class. Being the stereotypical shy, nerdy "new girl" is hard. Especially when the clock strikes 12 and the bell rings for lunch.

I sit alone at a table, scanning the room and I see a group called the Serpents huddled around a table. From what I've heard, they're a gang from the south side of town. There's another table with a redhead, a blonde, and a boy with black hair and a beanie. Of course, there are the other tables with the stereotypical jocks and outcasts and then there's me. Alone.

As I picked at my disgusting cafeteria food, I scanned my eyes over the room once again and noticed a gorgeous redhead looking at me from across the room and smiling. She realized that I saw her and she turned back around to say something to her pink haired friend who was wearing a Serpent jacket but wasn't sitting with the Serpents.

Was she making fun of me? Was she smiling at me because she liked my shirt? Maybe it's my necklace.

I quickly decided to stop overthinking it and went back to picking at my gross meal which I eventually gave up on and threw away in the trash.

I soon got bored and decided to go freshen up in the bathroom. I got in there and ran my hands through my hair, adjusted my glasses, and put on some more lip gloss.

In the middle of this the beautiful redhead that was just looking at me earlier came walking into the restroom.

I felt her eyes linger on me but I tried to ignore it.

To my suprise, she talked to me, "You're new here, right?" she asks.

"Yes," I say quickly. Even her voice is beautiful.

"I'm Cheryl Blossom. You've probably heard of me."

"Actually, I haven't," I say as I finish applying my lip gloss and turn to face her. I have to at least act like I'm not terrified right now.

"Oh," she says as she tilts her head to the side and has the slight look of dissapointment on her face but it soon fades to a neutral expression, "well, would you want to start sitting with me at lunch? Oh and maybe you could even come over and we could have a sleepover," she says excitedly.

"Why would you do that?" I ask with an awkward laugh.

"Do what?"

"Invite me to sit with you. Invite me to your house. You don't even know me."

Cheryl smiles, "That's precisely the point. I want to get to know you."

"Oh, um, okay. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then. I have to get to class," I stutter as I walk out of the bathroom and almost run into the wall because I wasn't paying attention.

Soon the day ended and I went home.

Why was Cheryl interested in me, out of everyone at school. Hopefully I'm  not just some project.

Yeah I'd totally be her friend, I'd even be more than just a friend if she wanted. That might be taking it too far. She probably just pities me.

The next day at lunch I scanned the cafeteria for Cheryl and to my surprise she came up behind me and linked her arm with mine and led me to her table.

People stared. Okay, EVERYONE stared. They exchanged whispers and glared, however, Cheryl seemed completely unaffected by this and kept walking with confidence until we got to the table and Cheryl motioned for me to sit down next to the girl with pink hair and Cheryl sat down on the other side of me.
