Kevin sits down with Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and Archie during lunch.
"So, Veronica," Betty says, "you ready for the big game later this week?"
Veronica laughs, "You should probably be asking Archie that. You know me, I'm always prepared."
"I've been working on my music so I need to go over my plays a few more times but I should be fine," Archie says. "Are you coming to the game, Kevin?"
"Uh, I'm not sure," Kevin replies with an unsure look.
Jughead grins, "Fangs will be there," he mumbles just loud enough for everyone at the table to hear.
"Oh my god, Jughead." Kevin starts to smile.
"Oh, c'mon," Betty says, "You look at him like... like Jughead looks at burgers."
"I do not," Kevin says, trying to sound offended but failing because of the stupid grin on his face.
"I have an idea," Veronica says. "What if at the game you invited him to go to Pop's after?"
"Okay, first of all, I doubt he even likes me let alone even notices me," Kevin says.
"Oh, he does," Jughead assures him.
"And how would you know?" Kevin asks.
"Toni and I may or may not gossip about it a bit, but one thing is for sure and that is that he definitely likes you."
"Wait," Betty says, "just invite him to go to the game with you on Friday night."
"Yes!" Veronica agrees.
"I don't know. Archie? Help me out?" Kevin asks.
Archie looks up from his food. "I say do what would make you happy. Do you want to ask him out?"
"Well, yeah," Kevin replies.
"Then do it. Take a risk," Archie suggests.
"Alright, I'll do it then," Kevin says.
"Perfect timing," Jughead says as Toni, Fangs, and Sweetpea start walking toward their table.
"You got this," Veronica mouths to Kevin.
"Hey, Jones," Sweetpea calls out, "you coming?"
"Yeah, one sec," Jughead says as he stands up, kisses Betty on the forehead and starts walking off with Toni, Sweetpea, and Fangs.
Kevin stands up. "Hey, Fangs!" he calls out and Fangs turns around while the rest of them keep walking and go into the school.
"What's up?" Fangs asks and Kevin trots over to him.
"So, there is the game this Friday and I was just wondering if maybe you would want to come with me?" Kevin asks, expecting rejection.
Fangs smiles, "Are you asking me on a date, Keller?"
Kevin smiles back, "If that's okay, then yeah, I am."
"Sure, I have no other plans. It's a date," Fangs says.
"Great, do you want to just meet there?" Kevin asks.
"I'll pick you up. Is 6:30 good?" Fangs asks.
"Perfect," Kevin agrees and Fangs heads inside and Kevin goes back to the table and sits down.
"So?" Betty and Veronica ask in unison.
"It's a date!" Kevin says excitedly.
"That's great!" Veronica replies with extreme amounts of enthusiasm.
