Chuck bumped into Kevin as they were both walking opposite ways through the locker room.

Chuck fake coughed, "Faggot," he mumbled loud enough for Kevin to hear.

Kevin turned around. "What did you just say?"

"You heard me," Chuck says. "Now why don't you take your gay ass and keep on walking."

"Are you serious right now?" Kevin says, completely unamused. "You act like I care what you, of all people, think."

"Oh I'm dead serious, Keller," Chuck says and Kevin shakes his head.

"Oh, Chuck. If only you didn't grow up in an environment that enforced toxic masculinity therefore turning you into the asshole you are today. Also, who knew you were so insecure with your sexuality that you can't even be in the same room as a gay person without trying to degrade them," Kevin retorts.

Chuck just stands there for a second before starting to walk away, "Fucking faggot," Chuck says and walks away.

Kevin doesn't move. He doesn't know what to do. He eventually walks out of the locker room and exits the school. He gets into his car and drives to Pop's because milkshakes fix everything, right?

He pulls into the parking lot and gets out of his car. Kevin walks inside and surveys the scene before sitting down at the bar.

"What'll it be today, Kevin?" Pop asks.

"I'll have a chocolate milkshake with extra chocolate and extra whipped cream on top, please."

Pop smiles, "Coming right up," he says as he walks over to the milkshake machine. He makes the milkshake and brings it over to Kevin. "Rough day?" he asks.

"No, just a rough evening. I'm alright though," Kevin says with a small smile.

"Alright then, enjoy," Pop says before turning around and walking into the kitchen.

Kevin drinks his milkshake while scrolling through Instagram on his phone. A few minutes goes by and Kevin turns around to see an empty diner. Everyone had left to go home for one reason or another. So there Kevin was... alone.

He finished his milkshake, paid for it, and decided to head out. He got into his car and drove home. At least, he started driving toward his house. He didn't go straight home, though. He ended up at a party of all places.

Cheryl had planned this party and invited everyone. Kevin didn't usually go to her parties but decided to at least have some fun tonight. He walked in and was immediately surrounded by tipsy high schoolers and loud music.

He ended up sitting on a couch next to Moose and on the other side of him was Cheryl who was sitting next to Toni.

"Time for a game!" Cheryl says enthusiastically. "Seven minutes in heaven, my vote is A for Archie, anyone care to second that?"

"Yes!" Chuck and Reggie shout at the same time.

"Alright," Cheryl says as she spins the bottle.

Everyone watches intently as the bottle spins and slows to a stop.

It lands on Kevin.

Everyone looks at Archie and then Kevin and then back at Archie.

"Well?" Cheryl says, "You can take it or leave it because lord knows I'm not going into that closet with Archie."

Kevin and Archie look at each other and Kevin shrugs.

"Fine," Archie says as he stands up and walks toward the closet. "You coming?" Archie asks Kevin.
