It was a beautiful morning in Seaford, New York. Some birds were out chirping, the sun was shining, and some flowers were blooming. It was the first day of summer. Then this happened.

One of those things,  one of those grown-ups, appeared. It crawled from under a car. It was a male. His skin had boils and blisters, a ripped yellow shirt and ripped up blue shorts with no shoes on. His lower jaw seemed to be broken, showing off his rotten, yellow teeth. His slimy, grey tongue was dangling, saliva was making a puddle on the ground as he starred at 2 Hispanic kids not too close to him with his yellow, bloodshot eyes.

The kids stared at him, weapons drawn. They were brother and sister. The brother was Kevin, he was 14 years old. He had long black hair that almost touching his eyes. He had dark brown eyes with a serious look on his face. He had two Japanese long daggers, ready to attack with them. He wore. a grey hoodie, black jeans, and black vans, all partially covered in blood. He carried a black backpack. His little sister, Lissette, she was 13 years old. She had long brown, wavy hair. She had hazel eyes with fear in them. She had a medium katana. She wore a black T-shirt with an open black hoodie, blue ripped jeans, and black converse with a pentagram on both of them. She carried a blue backpack.

The grown-up growled at them, then it lunged at them. Lissette yelped and walked back a little, katana ready. Kevin ran at the grown-up, daggers ready. The grown-up swiped at Kevin, but he avoided the attack, slicing the grown-up's stomach open. The grown-up fell to the ground, screaming, trying to put its guts back in its stomach, dark blood starting to pool on the floor.

Kevin walked up to the grown-up, finishing it off with a slice to the head. Lissette knelt over and threw up her breakfast. "Common'," Kevin said. "We need to find some food and water." Kevin walked up to Lissette and held out his hand. Lissette grabbed it and picked up her katana.

They jogged to the middle school. It was safer because there was a smaller chance of it having grown-ups, they haven't been there yet, and they might find other kids. It took 10 minutes to get there. There were a couple of cars there, which Kevin was happy to see. He opened his backpack and took out a long plastic tube and an empty gas tank. He ran up to a grey Nissan, opened where the gas goes and stuck the plastic tube in there.

"What the hell are you doing," Lissette said. "I thought you said we needed food and water."

"We do," Kevin said. "But we also need some gas. Those cars we got doesn't have unlimited gas." Kevin was right. He got him and his sister two cars. Kevin got himself his dream car, a purple Challenger, and Lissette's dream car, a black Nissan Sentra.

"Fine," Lissette said. "But hurry up."

Kevin put his mouth to the tue, sucking the air until some fuel filled his mouth. He spits it into the gas tank and starting filling it up with the rest of the fuel the car could offer. The car had filled up almost half of the tank. He then closes it tightly and puts the tank and tube back in his backpack.

"Okay," Kevin said. "Let's go inside."

Instead of only knowing how to siphon gas from a car, he knew how to pick locks and hijack a car. that's how he got their dream cars.

Kevin tried the side door, it was looked. Kevin knelt down and took out 2 bobby pins and worked his magic. Within seconds he opened the door. He opened it slowly, though, not wanting any grown-ups (if there were any) to attack them. The crept to the lunch room. When they were halfway there Lissette noticed some dried blood on the floor. She tapped Kevin's shoulder and pointed at the blood while covering her mouth.

Kevin drew his daggers, Lissette drew her katana. They were back to back, they knew there might be grown-ups in here, it was just a matter of time for them to attack, but the siblings needed food. Back at home, they were running out, only 3 cans of soup and one gallon of water.

They slowly reached the door where the lunch was served to kids with enough money in their pockets. "God damn," Kevin whispered. The door was locked. "Watch my back."

Lissette was scared to death. She didn't want to be here anymore. She wanted to leave to school and try somewhere else. She looked at the dirty interior. There were dust and garbage on the floor. Some of the chairs were turned over and some of the tables blocked the main entrance to the lunch room. Then she noticed still bodies on the floor near the tales. They weren't breathing, but she knew someone was here. She was about to tell Kevin, but he already unlocked the door and pulled her into the dark room.

Kevin took out his flashlight and wielded one of the daggers in his left hand as he was a lefty. He shinned the flashlight where the food was made, nothing or no one was there. Kevin smiled, "Let's go," he said. "There is food to be taken.

Kevin and Lissette walked to the kitchen and opened the cabinet for the canned food. They found some green beans and corn. Kevin started putting all the cans in his backpack, but it still wasn't enough. They then went to the storge for all of the food. They saw rotting chicken on the floor and some empty boxes. They then found two boxes with some canned vegetables. "That's it," Kevin said. "That's all they fucking have? Are you fucking serious?"

     "Calm down," Lissette said.

"Calm down? how am I suppose to fucking calm down when there are only vegetables here? We are going to run out as we need to eat a lot of these to fill us up." Kevin started to yell. "How the fuck is this going to help?" Then they heard a crash.

Kevin shut off his flashlight and listened. Something was out there, it or they heard him yelling. "Oh shit," Kevin said.

They heard moaning, it was grown-ups. They managed to open the door Kevin had unlocked. They were trapped.
