Mike woke up at the crack of dawn. He lay on the couch in the living room downstairs. He wanted to go on the mission for their supplies, and he knew he would wake up early. Mike grabbed his bat and emptied his backpack, only leaving a water bottle for himself. He fed his hamster, Luna, and tucked her in his pocket. He crept towards the door and exited out of the house.

Mike was used to going out by himself. He remembered meeting a group of kids once. When they asked for his name he said, "The Lone Wolf." He knew it sounded stupid, but it was the first thing that came to mind. It stuck with him. He had stayed with that group for a while, until they got ambushed by infected. Mike never wanted to travel with others after that, but ended up finding his friends. He shook his head. "No, fuck that. Forget them."

The sun was barley up, so it was still dark out. He remembered Kevin saying that the infected sleep, so he still has time. He started to run towards the direction of the cars. He listened to the rhythm of his footsteps as they hit the pavement. His breathing started to grow heavy, so he stopped and took a break. He took a sip of water and squinted his eyes in front of him. He didn't see the cars nor anything that signifies that the female group was here. The sun was slowly rising and he was running out of time, so he began to move at a swifter pace. He pushed himself to the limit, not taking a break until he saw something familiar. He stopped.

Mike took another sip of water before he moved forward. He scanned the perimeter and approached the object that caught his eye, it was an arrow. He picked it up, the tip was clean. He looked around, hoping to find more. He looked under cars and in gutters, until he found something suspicious. It was under a car, a piece of fabric, and it looked vaguely familiar. He examined it and froze, it was a price of Tyler's sweatshirt.

He dropped it, holding up his bat. He whistled for any nearby infected, but nothing approached him. A lot of thoughts and questions started to flood Mike's mind. What happened to him? Where is he? Did he die? Did those bitches take him? Was he looking for us? Is Diana with him?

He started to move forward, hopping to find more clues that could lead to the discovery of his friend. Not to far away was were the attack took place. Mike slowly approached the area, his weapon up and ready. He noticed the trunk to the purple Challenger was up, and when he looked inside he noticed that some of the supplies were missing, but what made Mike's heart drop was when the duffel bag filled with explosive ingredients were gone.

Mike cursed under his breath, but continued to search, there was still medical supplies and Kelly's bag. He left the large containers of water in the trunk and walked over to the black Nissan. The thing was, he couldn't access the trunk do to the trunk being clipped by the Challenger. Mike decided to take the big jug of water and started to walk over to where Emily was killed, but froze, as she wasn't there anymore. All that was there was a large blood stain.

Mike started to walk back, but when he took a few steps forward he felt something whiz by his face. He saw as the object hit the street in front of him, it was an arrow. He dropped everything and swung his bat around, menacingly. "Hey, keep the fuck away from me!"

There was no response.

Mike knee that they would shoot again, so he quickly pushed the supplies behind the Challenger and began to put the bags back on. He carried the jug of water in his left hand and his weapon in his right, and started to run. He wasn't very fast due to the weight he was carrying, but he was making progress. He didn't know what to do when he reached the house his group was staying in. He knew that Braden had an injury, but they had no means to patch it up without any medical supplies.

This sense of fear and determination made Mike speed up, but he struggled to maintain his new pace. Luna began to squeak, and when Mike looked back he saw three figures in the distance running after him. He cursed and started to go faster. He looked up at the sky and saw the sun was bright enough for the infected to start waking up. He decided to take his chances and whistled. He then started to shout, yelling very insulting things and racial slurs.
