Lissette ran up to Kevin and helped him up. They heard banging on the door. Some of the grown-ups followed Kevin, but the rest might come to the door after they ate their meal. The screams of Julie was heard by the kids, Kevin was upset that Julie was being eaten alive.

"Where is she," Lissette asked with tears in her eyes. "Kevin, where is she?"

Kevin was panting, tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry," he said. "I'm sorry. She... she didn't make it. I was almost there, but... but they broke through."

"No," Lissette was crying now. "Why? Why didn't you save her?" She was screaming now. "Why didn't you save her? You promised. You... you... you..." Lissette was now hyperventilating.

"It's not my fault!" Kevin got up, he was angry. "It wasn't my fault she died! She just stood there! Dian shot the gun! You're was the one screaming! It wasn't my fucking fault!"

Lissette walked to the back of the room. She went to a corner, went into a ball, and started crying hysterically.

Kevin dragged a seat to the door, ignoring his sister. No one attempted to comfort her. Tyler was whimpering still. "Braden," Kevin said. "Help him out, will ya?" Kevin put the desk he dragged to the door.

"Sure, just hold him down." Braden said, taking out the tweezers from the first aid kit.

It took a while, but it was finally done. All 37 pieces of metal were taken out. Braden disinfected Tyler's wounds and started to bandage him up. "You did great," Braden said, finishing up.

"It still fucking hurts." Tyler complained.

"No shit," Braden said. "Just try not to move."

"How long are we staying here for?" Emily asked.

     "Maybe a week?" Braden said.

"A week," Kevin said. "Do we even have enough food and water for a week?"

"Let me check," Emily walked to the the teacher's desk.she took out some cans and some water. "We can only last for 2 days."

"What the hell are we going to do?" Braden asked.

"Wait," Kevin took off his backpack and took out all the cans he had gotten from the school's kitchen." This might last us 2 more days, and Lissette has 2 more days with of food."

"But what about water?" Emily asked.

"We just need to be cautious with it." Kevin said.

     "What about Kelly?" Tyler asked.

     "What about her?" Braden asked.

"She's sick," Tyler said. Kevin got up and drew one of his long daggers. Tyler saw this. "No, not like infected. She might have a virus or something."

"But with something like that she'll need a lot of fluids." Kevin said, putting his long dagger away.

"And we only have a gallon of water." Emily said, taking out the gallon of water.

"I have water back at my place." Kevin said.

     "How much?" Braden asked.

"I have about 11 gallons." Kevin said.

"That's fucking fantastic," Braden said. "But how far is you place?"

"About .8 of a mile away. But I need someone to go with me, it's a lot of water and there might be some grown-ups in the neighborhood. The explosion Tyler set off most likely attracted more of those fuckers."
