"Molly," Lissette said in disbelieve. "Is that really you?"
Molly moved a table out of the way. Some light shined on her from the grimy windows. She had short, wavy brown hair and brown eyes. She had braces and wore Uggs with blue jeans and a shirt with Johnny Depp on it.
"Oh my god," Molly said in awe as she approached closer. "I can't believe you guys are still alive! How long has it been? Like, almost a month?"
"I don't know," Lissette said. "Ever since our parents got infected we weren't able to communicate with anyone. Me and Kevin started looking for supplies. We found a gun and some amo and we already had these swords handy. We're just here for food."
"You got food?" Molly asked.
"Yeah, and-" Kevin then broke in.
"We only found some canned vegetables. Nothing much, we're gonna have to look for more soon or we'll starve to death."
"Oh," Molly said. "We are running out of food, too."
"Wait," Lissette said in disbelieve. "There are more of us?"
"Yeah," Molly said. "Let's go, before more of those... things get here."
Lissette started following Molly, but Kevin stopped her.
"Hey," Lissette complained. "Let go of me!"
"What type of bullshit are you trying to pull on us?" Kevin asked angrily.
Molly looked at him in shock. "I'm not trying to pull anything! I just wanted to show you guys that there are more of us."
"Yeah," Lissette said as she pulled her arm away from Kevin. "There are more of us, what can she possibly do? She's our friend!"
Lissette was right, all three of them were friends. But Kevin believed that after something like this, it can do something to people. It makes people desperate. They will kill anyone in their way for a can of soup.
"If she's telling the truth about the others," Kevin said. "They can ambush us. People change, Lissette. They will stop you and rob you of everything you got. Then they might leave you out alone, to be killed by the infected, or they will kill right on the spot, no mercy. I want to trust her but i can't. We can't risk what we found and our only weapons."
Lissette looked at Kevin like he was stupid. "Why would she do that? She is our friend."
"That doesn't mean shit!" Kevin exploded.
"Kevin."
"We lost our family. I lost them. You, lost them! I don't want to lose you. I have lost too much. I can't risk anything right now."
"Why don't you just believe me?" Molly asked.
Kevin couldn't take it, he pulled out his gun and aimed it at Molly. She held both of her hands up and backed away slowly. "What are you doing?" Molly whimpered.
"If you want to show us the rest, then lead the way," Kevin said. "Don't try to pull anything, or your brains and blood will be painting the floor and the walls."
Molly started walking forward as the sibling followed.
"What the hell are you doing," Lissette asked. "She didn't do anything. Are you going to rob them or something?"
"No," Kevin said. "I want to see what happens."
Kevin let Molly place the table back where it was. They started to follow Molly, her hands still up. "We have half of the school," she said timidly. "But the other half has those things. They took 2 of us." Molly slowly pointed at locked double doors. Kevin could see through the window with dry blood that there was a nurses office.
