A full month has passed since Kevin had nearly blown himself up just to save Emily and himself from the hoard of infected that bursted out of the school. Everyone in the algebra room that they had stayed in were beginning to pack up the rest of the food, water, and other supplies. Like Tyler, Kevin ended up getting stitches on his back because some of the shards from the gas tank ended up in his back.
As the group tossed the last duffel bag out the window they climbed out one by one. Lissette seemed to be recovering from her loss from a month ago, but she still was a little quiet about the whole thing, not wanting anyone to talk about Julie's demise.
Mike's hamster was still alive, he tucked Luna in his pocket as he jumped out the window and onto the dry, green grass. "Man, it's so humid outside." Mike commented.
"Enjoy it while it lasts," Kevin said, jumping out of the window as well. His ear seemed to be healing. "It's July, and we'll be inching closer towards Fall, then the worse of all, Winter."
"Why is winter the worse?" Lissette asked, leaping from the window.
Kevin rolled his eyes. "Uh I dunno," Kevin said sarcastically. "Maybe because it's freezing and we don't have jackets?"
Lissette got angry. "Shut up!" She walked away to her black Nissan Sentra.
"Arn't you gonna help or what?" Kevin called to Lissette.
Lissette didn't say anything and got inside her car.
Braden then took his turn jumping out of the window. "What a bitch." He commented.
"Whatever." Kevin said, picking up a duffel bag of the last of the canned food. "Braden, why don't you and mike lift the explosive materials into my car?"
"Yeah, sure, come and help me, Mike." Braden said, picking up some of the pots and pans.
"K" Mike said, picking up the small bag of gunpowder, the rest of the pots and pans and the bow of matches.
The three boys where about to walk over to the purple Challenger when Tyler popped his head out of the window and asked a question. "Uh, What do we do with Diana?"
"Leave that bitch here!" Braden commanded.
Diana was still tied up to the chair, only let out under strict supervision to stretch her arms and legs.
"I though we agreed to leave her here with a weapon and some food." Kevin said.
Emily then appeared from the window. "Kevin, you now that's like, way to cruel to leave her by herself."
TKevin's eyes went wide and he pointed at his ear. "She almost killed me!"
"But doesn't everyone deserve second chances?" Emily asked.
Kevin didn't know what to do. He was afraid the if they took her with them she'd try and kill him.
"I mean, we could just keep her arms tied." Tyler said. "Right Kelly?" Tyler looked back, waiting for Kelly's approval.
Kelly moved Tyler and Emily out of her way and jumped out of the window. "I don't know, I'm kind of with Kevin on this. I mean, she did try and kill him, so that makes me think that she'd try and kill all of us if she had the chance."
"Come on Kelly!" Tyler complained.
"Shut up Tyler!" Mike said. "She could kill all of us, like what Kelly said.
