4: Where's Betty?

"Hi, Welcome to Mystic Falls, I'm Caroline Forbes. We talked over the phone." Caroline smiles.
"Where's Betty?" Jughead asks, with a worried Veronica next to him.
"The Salvatore Boarding House." Caroline says.
"Can you take us there?" Veronica asks.
"Sure."

"Guys, I'm so sorry I had to leave." Elena says.
Elena scans the room for Betty and Damon.
"Stefan, where's Betty?" She asks.
"Upstairs in my room." Stefan half smiles.

"Why?" Elena asks.
"She was tired. We played some ball games, that's why." Stefan lies.
"Oh. Well, ok. Where's Damon?" Elena asks.
"He went to see Liz. Acting like he's actually human and trying to get rid of vampires." Stefan lies.
"Sounds like Damon."
"Yep."

"Have you heard anything about that vampire that you're training?" Elena asks.
"I haven't seen or heard from her.  I have her number though." Stefan says.
"Maybe you should call her? We don't want her kill innocent people."
"Yeah, I will tonight."

"Why tonight?" Elena asks.
"So we can meet up. She doesn't have a daylight ring so she can only come at night."
"Wait, so right now she's probably in a room avoiding sunlight?"
"I don't know."
"Ok well, call her tonight. I'm going to go find Bonnie."

"Bye Elena."
"Bye Stefan."

"Hey, you're awake." Stefan smiles.
"Yeah." Betty's head is hurting as she tries to sit up.
"How are you feeling?" Stefan asks, putting his hand on her forehead.
"A bit dizzy and light headed, I guess." Betty says.
"Do you want to some water?" Stefan asks.
"Yes please."

Stefan hands her the water with Vervain in it, forgetting that he'll have to compel her to forget the fact that Damon is a vampire who drank her blood.

"Thank you." She takes a few sips.

"Do you need anything else?" He asks.
"Not at the moment." Betty smiles.

Realisation hits her like a truck. The reason why she's feeling so horrible smacks her in the face. Damon is a vampire.

"I'll stay here as long as you need me to." Stefan smiles.
He notices the sudden change in the facial expression.

"Betty? Are you ok?" Stefan asks.
"Damon. He...he bit my neck." Betty starts shaking, "And he was drinking my blood?"
Stefan silently gulps.

"You saved me because he was trying to kill me." Betty looks into Stefan's eyes.
"Forget what Damon did to you. He left to see Liz and didn't come back, we played ball games for the rest of the day and you got tired so you went to sleep." Stefan compels.
"I can't just forget Stefan, and none of that happened! He came back and tried to kill me because he's a v...he's a vampire!" Betty yells, causing her head to hurt more.

Only now does Stefan realise he gave her Vervain.

"Betty, calm down." He sighs.
"Did you know?" Betty asks.
"Did I know what?" Stefan asks.
"That he was a vampire."
Stefan doesn't reply.

"I can't believe this. Vampires aren't real, Stefan! They're not real!" Betty yells.

"Did Elena know too? And she left me in this house with him?!" Betty quiets down a bit.
"Elena didn't know." Stefan lies.
"But you did?" Betty cries.

Betty gathers the courage to say, "Are you a vampire too?"
