6: Ellie

"Bye." Veronica says with a tear slipping from her eye.
"You have to leave?" Betty frowns.
"Well, I don't want to stay here and you shouldn't either." Veronica says, wiping away her tear.
"I have to stay. For Elena." Betty pulls her blanket up a bit more.
"Your choice, but if a vampire kills you, it's your own fault."

"Wait Veronica!" Veronica stops walking away.
"Yeah?"
"Don't tell. You know, about the vampires."
"I won't. Stay safe."

Of course, when Betty told Veronica about Mystic Falls vampire problem, Veronica had to leave. Who would stay in a town where vampires can walk in the day and kill you whenever?

Also, Betty was now alone, which Stefan didn't want, but Stefan of course trusted that Veronica would be at the house helping an ill Betty.

Jughead is calling...

Missed call from Jughead

Stefan sighs.

You're trouble, Jughead. Stay away from me and go home. I'm not coming back and Stefan is my friend.

He types, but doesn't send. It hesitates then deletes it all and switches off Betty's phone. He didn't want to invade Betty's privacy but he had to keep Jughead away.

He took Betty's phone while Betty was explaining vampires to Veronica, and none of them realised.

"Elena." He sighs.
"Hey Stefan. What's wrong?" Elena asks.
"Oh, it's nothing." Stefan smiles.
"Ok. Well, can you please send Betty over? Dinner is almost ready and Jenna is getting impatient.
"Actually Betty is going to stay at my house tonight." Stefan says.
"Why would she-?"
"It's a bonding thing." Stefan assures.
"Oh, well...I'll tell Jenna."

"Yeah. Well she's going to need some clothes so-" Stefan says.
"You're right. She can pop around and get them anytime tonight."
"Ok."

"Hey Stefan." Ellie, the newly vampire, grins.
"Ellie." Stefan smiles.
"Ellie the vampire." Elena states.
"Yeah, I'm sorry, I gotta go." Stefan says.
"Wait if you're teaching Ellie, how can you be bonding with B-" Stefan hangs up.
