"We already went out for brunch, why do we have to go out again?" Caroline whines.
"Because I have to show you around this beautiful town. Trust me, you'll love it." Veronica smiles.
"Will Archie be coming?" Caroline asks.
"No, this is girl time. Why? You like him?" Veronica asks.
"It's not that it's just, all through brunch I was clearly getting in the way. You were being polite and trying to include me but you guys are obviously so in love."
"Well, he won't be with us tonight. Now lets go, the sun is setting!" Veronica grins.Veronica opens the car door for Caroline and then slips into the drivers seat. Caroline pops in and instantly smells Chanel perfume.
"You have a nice car." Caroline says.
"I know."
Caroline chuckles and Veronica grins."Look at the map, tell me where you want to go." Veronica says.
Caroline scans the map Veronica had drawn when they got home from brunch.
"Uh sweet water river?" Caroline suggests.
"Sure thing." Veronica steps on the the accelerator. As the sun sets Veronica and Caroline sit together on the front of Veronica's car and sing along to the grease soundtrack
"I'm hopelessly devoted to you." Caroline sings.
"But now, there's nowhere to hide! Since you pushed my love aside!" The sing together and then instantly start laughing.
"Such a good song." Caroline smiles.
"It really is." Veronica smiles too.
If they could, they'd stay there together forever. Everything was perfect in that moment.
Ring ringVeronica checks her phone.
"It's Archie, I'd better take this." She says apologetically answering the phone.Veronica suddenly looks scared.
"We are already here, what side are you on?"
Caroline sighs. Archie must be on his way to meet them.
"Okay, we are on our way."
Veronica hangs up the phone and looks at Caroline, scared.
"We have to go find Archie." She trembles as she speaks. When Caroline and Veronica arrive at the other side of the river, there are cars everywhere. Police, Ambulance, and basically Riverdales entire population were there. News spreads fast in this small town.
When Archie tells Veronica what he saw, a single tear falls from her eye. Caroline is sad, but doesn't know how to react as she didn't know him personally. Archie looks scarred from what he saw. Caroline looks around to see a tall girl with long red hair fall to the ground crying, next to a blonde girl who looks about a year older who is also crying.
"I'm going to go comfort Polly. She needs someone right now." Archie says, walking towards Polly.
"I don't know what to say. I knew him, I went to school with him. We were never close but everyone knew who he was. He was captain of the football team. Him and Polly Cooper were the power couple of the school. How could something so awful happen?" Veronica shakes her head in disbelief, "How does someone go from being alive and healthy to being stone cold and dead so quickly? I don't understand."Veronica and Caroline sit in silence in the car, watching as Cheryl and her parents cry. Watching people get in their cars and drive away. Caroline tries to think of what to say to help Veronica feel better, but there are no words. Archie hugs Polly and Cheryl, but he can't help and he knows it. Cheryl and Jason's parents don't cry, but they do look sad.
AN: Jason Blossoms death was a murder but it was not Jason's father. This time it's someone completely different and you guys will find out who soon. Just a reminder, this story isn't going to be the same as TVD or Riverdale, some events are the same (like Jason's death) but most things I will just make up or put my own spin on. Remember to vote and comment your thoughts/theories on the chapter or what you would like to see happen as this story progresses. In this chapter, it just focused on the events in Riverdale but that was just to make up for last chapter.
