Barbara POV
I sat in my dressing room, my hand up against my hair, my elbow on the desk as I concentrated. Tickets sold for...and we sold out...total amount is.. Just as I was about to calculate.
"You're on in 4 Barbs,"
I groaned.
" 4 hours?" I hoped sarcastically.
"No, four minutes," Paul finished from the door, before speeding off.
I sighed, getting up quickly. Ugh.. I have to pee...again.
I literally busted a mission to make it the restroom, and back to the stage in less than 3 minutes.
New record.
Anyways, I got to admit that I was nervous as hell to go back onstage after an almost 2 month vacation...and the fact thay even though my 'baby bump'- sounds so weird saying that- just might be noticed by someone threatened me from having a good performance.
I could hear the roars of the audience and I took a deep sigh.
"You alright?" Paul said through my earpiece. I nodded, giving him a faint smile as my heart pumped in my chest a bit.
I looked down at the dress I wore, and I'm starting to think I didn't wear a tight enough dress... I mean, it had ruffles down my torso, but..I don't want to seem suspicious.. because I am.. I don't know. My boobs look bigger than usual..
And they hurt.
But that's not the point right now..
"How's everyone doing tooday!" I yelled, smiling as I entered the crows, their yells deafening. Comforting to a girl who loves the stage, who loves music.
I looked around the crowd with a laugh, unable to say anything because they were still roaring with screams of joy.
I caught a certain pair of eyes, someone I had facetimed not too long ago..She made it.
Alice waved and I smiled largely.
"Hope you guys are all enjoying this event! It means the world to me, and it is the world to those who need it most. Thank you for making this 100% donation Fundraiser a success!" I said whole-heartedly, before finding my mic-stand and letting my drummer take the start.
It was one of my favorite songs. Here we go!
I played along, feeling a little more complete with music in every ear, spreading the beauty of it to each individual. It was truly a blessing.
Time moved quickly now that I was enjoying myself a bit more, and I went onto my next song, a slower one, and sat next to my piano.
I waved at Alice in the crowd, and she smiled back, before I drifted my eyes a few people to the right, and nearly choked on my own saliva in surprise. I couldn't miss those blue eyes anywhere, the pale skin.. it was odd that he was wearing a cap though.
What was Ed Sheeran doing in my crowd? He was right behind the gates area, surrounded by people who did not seem to realize Ed Sheeran was behind them. How the hell did he go unnoticed?
Ed had barely caught my eye, before he looked to see who I had waved at, and I swear, his face reddened.
I watched Alice follow his gaze, and her eyebrows rose, and she smiled. For a split second, Ed looked back at me, his face agonized before Alice drifted into his direction.
I nearly forgot I was performing for a second, and once I saw how happy they both seemed to see each other, I had to look away.
I was happy for him... right?
No.. I wasn't.. I mean, I'm pregnant with his child for goodness sakes..
But what can I do?
Nothing.
I began singing my verses, my voice deepening a bit as my emotions took over, and I got a bit nervous.. My eyes watering with tears. I extended the instrumental a bit, and looked back at the crowd out of curiosity, my heart beating harshly in my chest.
And when I saw Alice throw me a smile, as she pulled on Ed's hand to follow her, I messed up a key.
Why?... Because Ed willingly followed her, letting out a laugh as he grasped her arm for her to slow down, a smile on his face as they walked off and disapeared behind the stage.
I was heartbroken.
And it was then that I stopped my fingers on the keys, destroying my whole performance.
STAI LEGGENDO
Messy Love (Ed Sheeran)
RomanceI opened my eyes to only find Ed's soft flamed hair messily in view as he caressed my neck....I just lost it. *** As we laid there, covered in my comforter, I couldn't help but feel confused when he pulled me close to him as he drifted off to...
