"That's fucking dumb, I ain't doin that shit Kirishima." Katsuki huffed.
"I'm telling you man, she'll love it!" He assured. Katsuki scoffed at the idea, rolling the small box in his fingers.
It had been nearly a two years since your graduation. Things were finally starting to settle down. The two of you had your own apartment, you just receive government funding for your own hero agency, and had a steady flow of work already.
It was a better time then any.
Well, it had been for months actually.
"You know, being nervous is manly too." Kirishima chuckled.
"I'M NOT FUCKING NERVOUS."
He was. He didn't know how to go about something like this. He didn't want to mess it up. He wanted everything to be perfect because that's what he thought you deserved.
Because at the end of the day, after everything that had happened, you were the most important thing to him.

"Katsuki..? Katsuki? You're zoning out again." You huffed, nudging him gently with your elbow.
You were both in your office, reviewing the villain you were currently tracking. It was going to be a tough job.
"Oh, sorry..." He muttered. Your eyes widened a bit. It happened more and more often that he got like this, distant like he was thinking about something. Katsuki didn't even realize what he had just said.
"Did you just say sorry?" You questioned in disbelief. He still hadn't left his trance, causing you to shift around a bit. "Are you okay? I've been getting worried about you Katsuki..."
"What are you even talking about? I didn't say shit." He plainly responded.
"... I think you should sit this one out."
Your comment made Katsuki's gaze jolt to you.
"What?" He growled.
"Your heads not in the game and you won't tell me what's wrong." You sighed, leaning back against the wall with crossed arms. "I'll call Uravity to back me up today. Take some time to sort out-"
"THERE'S NOTHING WRONG."
The escalation in his tone surprised you.
What's got him so worked up?
"What did I do to make you so upset..." You frowned, avoiding his gaze.
Katsuki's brows furrowed. He was annoying himself at this point. A moment later he had pulled you into a hug, burying his face in the crook of your neck.
"Sorry..." He mumbled. "You haven't done anything wrong. It's just..."
If he had the ring with him, he would have proposed right there.
"You'll understand soon." Katsuki's voice had grown soft. He ran his hand down your back and pulled away. "I'm okay, trust me alright?"
His eyes were sincere. You smiled warmly and reached up to plant a kiss on his cheek.
"Always."
