"We have to find her a doctor!" Kirishima insisted.
"I know I know!" Kaminari panicked. "But the city is under siege! We can't just leave recklessly!"
"Then I'll go alone! I'll crush any villain who gets in my way!"
I'm safe... They're safe... Thank goodness...
"You guys..." You muttered weakly, eyes fluttering open.
"(Y/n)! You're awake!" Kaminari gasped
"Of course she is!" Kirishima smirked. "She's the toughest man I know!"
"I'm a woman Kirishima, but thank you." You chuckled. They rushed over and help you to sit up in your makeshift bed. "Where... are we?"
Kirishima kneeled beside you, a heavy look in his eyes.
"We're in an office building currently. Many other heroes and civilians have taken refuge here as well."
"And the city?"
"It's bad." He grimaced, brows furrowed together. "Certain sectors of the city have been overrun and countless civilians have been taken hostage. We've reached a bit of a stalemate."
"I see..." You sighed, eyes narrowing towards the floor. "Kirishima, where's Katsuki?"
His face turned darker. That's what you were afraid of.
"We don't know. We haven't been able to contact anyone." Kirishima sighed.
"It's like USJ on a wider scale." Kaminari added. "We assume they have somebody with a quirk that can disrupt communication."
You were silent, mind immediately racing towards all the worst possible things that could have happened to him.
Katsuki, there's no way you've been downed by something like this. Forgive me for briefly thinking otherwise.
"He's alive." You firmly stated. "And I'm going to go find him."
"What?! Are you crazy (y/n)!" Kaminari shouted.
"You know we can't let you do that. Just look at yourself." Kirishima rebuttled. It was true, your body was an absolute wreak. "Your arm is broken. Sero made a splint using his tape and bandaged your side to stop the bleeding, but you need to see a real doctor though!"
"I understand that! I won't engage with the villains but I need to look!" You insisted. "I can't just sit still knowing that my husband is in danger..."
"I get it. He's my friend too." He argued. "But... When I became your best man, I swore to protect you both! You know Katsuki wouldn't want you to look for him! Trust in him! He would crawl to the ends of the earth to find you (y/n)!"
"Kirishima..." You muttered, tears nearly welling up. "Sorry... I was acting rashly. My emotions just seem to be... all over the place."
"It's alright." He smiled. "He'll turn up sooner or later, I'm sure!"
"Right! Now, what's our next move-"
The curdling pain came back. You retched forward, hands flying over your mouth.
"What's wrong?! Do you feel sick?!" Kaminari panicked.
"The bathroom... Where is it?" You mumbled.
"I'll take you." Kirishima said, wrapping his arm around your shoulder and helping you to stand. He escorted you slowly out across the room and out the door.
When you arrived at the bathroom you nearly stumbled into the stall, collapsing over the toilet and puking your guts. Kirishima patiently leaned against the stall door. You stayed hunched over it for a while until your body stopped hating you and you could get a word in.
"Kirishima..." You muttered weakly.
"Yeah?" He softly called back.
Your hand moved down and over your belly. You nearly choked out the next words.
"I need you to get me something."

The day rolled on incredibly slowly. You were beyond apprehensive for your friends to return from scouting, partially because you were worried about them and also because you were worried about yourself. When the door finally flung open, you stomach twisted again. But this time it was our of nervousness.
"I got what you ask." Kirishima said, holding a small bag in his hand.
"Thank you Kiri." You smiled softly at him. He hesitated to give you the bag, his eyes filled with worry. "What's wrong?"
"(Y/n)... are you really-"
"I don't know yet." You plainly answered.
"... But..." He stuttered. "Of all times..."
"Don't think too hard. We could just be worrying over nothing." You sighed, slowly pulling yourself up onto two shaky legs.
"Do you need help?" Your friend insisted.
"No." You smiled, taking the bag from his hand. "I just want to be alone for a moment."
Kirishima was hesitant but let you go eventually.
You walk out the door and to the bathroom just down the hall. Just like the day, the walk seemed to last forever. You tried to make quick work of the whole ordeal, pulling the box from the bag and popping a squat. The minute or two the ticked by before the results were agonizing. And then, exactly what you feared.
"Pregnant"
The pregnancy test dropped from your fingers and hit the bathroom floor.
Why now?
Why here?
Why like this?
Katsuki and you hadn't been trying in particular quite yet, but you had to admit that there were a few days you forgot to take your birth control. Those days were few and far between and you usually refrained if you knew you forgot.
"Dammit..." You muttered, sliding down against the side of the stall. "Dammit all..."
You pressed your palm against your abdomen. That hit you sustained from the villain was the last thing you needed. No matter what choice you made, damage could have already been done. Maybe it was even too late.
"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..." You sobbed.
"Katsuki please... I need you right now."
