Vow [Katsuki Bakugou x Reader]

[Chapter 12]: Forward

"Alright everyone! Please enter the bus in the following order!" Iida called out.

Despite his pleas, everyone just ended up entering the bus and sitting where they wanted to. You had planned on Ochaco sitting next to you but before she had a chance, Katsuki had already taken the seat.

The bus left after school and would be driving through the night to reach an island of the coast of Osaka. U.A owned the island and used it for all kinds of training and recreation.

Oh shit, that means I'm sleeping next to Katsuki tonight...

You put your hands together and whispered.

"God, what kind of test is this?" Katsuki glanced over.

"Oi, what kind of creepy shit are you muttering over there?" In a completely serious tone, you responded.

"I'm praying for divine protection so that your stupidity doesn't spread to me."

"YOU WHAT?!"

Everyone had been on the bus for a few hours and had found ways to entertain themselves. You and Katsuki had been keeping yourselves busy with your DS. You had brought a Pokemon game with you, which he made fun of for a solid hour until he asked for a turn to play. Let's just say he started a new game, only collected fire pokemon, and gave them all ridiculous names.

"You know, you're gonna need a more balanced team to wi-...."

"THE FIRE ONES ARE THE COOLEST, PISS OFF!" Needless to say, he got thrashed when he got to the water type gym. There was literally smoke coming out of his ears.

"Please don't blow up my DS. That will take you more than one shift to repay." You smirked as he resisted his urge to destroy it.

While he continued to play, you were stealing small glances at the seat across from you. Ochaco had ended up sitting with Izuku. They were talking, laughing, and playing hand games with each other. You felt as though the fluff would give you cavities just from watching. Every so often you locked eyes with Ochaco and gave her an eyebrow wiggle, to which she blushed and responded with the same.

You thought back to the past Saturday at the mall with Ochaco. You had settled on playing it by ear. You didn't want to ruin what you had with Katsuki, but you also weren't the type to try and ignore your feelings

By the time 10 pm rolled around, Katsuki had over leveled his team to the point where they couldn't be beaten even with a type disadvantage.

"WHO'S THE STRONGEST NOW HUH?!" His faces were amazing whenever he got frustrated, and his comments were so over the top that you couldn't help but laugh.

Oh my god I could watch him do this forever. 

"Bakugou keep it down. Some of us are trying to get some sleep." Kaminari peeked his head over the seat in front of us, followed by Kirishima.

"I FIND YOUR PASSION INCREDIBLY MANLY BUT YES WE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP." Katsuki didn't even look up from the screen.

"SHUT UP YOU DAMN SCUM, CAN'T YOU SEE I'M FOCUSING?!" They both sighed and lowered their heads back down. You chuckled.

"Okay Katsuki, it's time to put the game away." He glared at you.

"The fuck makes you think I'll listen to you." You grinned, slightly annoyed and a vein stuck out on your forehead.

"It wasn't a fucking question you hedgehog." You held out your hand, waiting for him to hand it to you. He began pouting before turning off the game and handing the DS to you. You proceeded to pat the top of his head.

"Good boy."

"I'M NOT A FUCKING DOG."

"Ohhhh right right, I forgot. Good hedgehog."

"I'LL KILL YOU."

It was midnight now, and most of the other students were asleep. You tossed and turned in your seat a bit, unable to find a comfortable position. There were just nights when you were restless.

"Can't sleep?" Katsuki quietly questioned. You opened your eyes and glanced over at the boy, who was leaning up against the window. You let out a breathy sigh.

"Yeah... It's just one of those nights, you know?" Katuski scoffed.

"Not really, but it's gonna be one of those nights for me too if you don't stop wiggling so damn much." A slight frown crossed your lips.

I guess all my moving has probably kept him awake...

"Sorry Katsuki, I'll move to the floor then..." You had begun turning towards the bus aisle, before getting grabbed by the forehead and pulled down to lay flat on Katsuki's lap. Your eyes widened and your cheeks reddened.

"Is this better?" He was avoiding your eyes. The surprised look on your face transformed into a gentle smile.

"Yep, probably because your quads are so flabby and comfy." The familiar vein appeared on his forehead. Before he had a chance to completely blow a fuse, you reassured him. "I'm kidding..."

He calmed down and peered into your eyes. Your face was lit only by the moonlight shining through the window. He couldn't help but blush slightly.

"Thank you Katsuki." You called out to him. Covering his face with his fist, Katsuki placed his elbow on the windowsill. Looking away, he softly muttered.

"Whatever..."

You smiled and allowed your eyelids to flutter closed. It didn't take long for you to fall into a deep and peaceful sleep.

A few minutes after you passed out, Katsuki looked back down at you. He lowered his hand and began running his fingers through your hair. It was an incredibly gentle touch, like your body was fragile and would crumble beneath his fingers if he wasn't careful. You looked so vulnerable, a feeling never emulated while you were awake. Katsuki felt a strange tightness in his throat, as if he was fighting some kind of invisible force but didn't know what.

"You shitty girl... What the fuck are you doing to me?" He whispered to himself before leaning forward to press his lips against your forehead.
