Cloudracer's PoV

Even after the race with Toothless, Cloudracer was still amazed that there was still another Nightfury. She had thought that they were all dead. She had lost all hope, there wasn't even a sliver left. But then, here one was! Right in front of her nose this whole time, and she hadn't even noticed! Thank you for not killing them all! She had thanked her ancestors gratefully.

Now, everybody was gathered around the edge of the island, ironically called The Edge. Cloudracer was enjoying a whole pile of fish while laying back to back with Toothless and Puffnut leaning against her side. She trusted Puffnut, and since Toothless trusted Hiccup, Cloudracer supposed that she should also. But then there were the twins and Astrid. She didn't trust them one bit and just by the way he acted, she didn't like Snotlout from the beginning. Fishlegs was a like/dislike situation, she wasn't sure which one.

"When are we going after that Red Death?" Tuffnut asked for the fifth time since they had seen it. "I wanna punch it's face so hard right now, with my FACE!" He said seriously. Cloudracer just rolled her eyes at him. Hadn't he said enough dumb things to say today? And if only to make it worse, Snotlout wandered over and gestured towards Cloudracer. "Do you plan on keepin that thing? I'll have if you don't want it. Im more then willing to give you Hookfang, he's plenty helpful. Definitely a lover. You should try him out.." but he was stopped when Hookfang, the dark red monstrous nightmare shoved him with his snout and walked away, hitting Snotlout with his tail purposely. This earned him a couple of laughs from the Nightfuries in the process. "Don't you think Hookfang would be sad?" Puffnut laughed as Hookfang continued to pout at him.

When Hiccup stood everybody quieted down. He cleared his throat to continue,"you're lucky, Tuff, we're leaving now." He said as he stood and hopped onto Toothless. Toothless made a warbling noise and turned his green gaze to Cloudracer,"This will be fun, don't you think?" He asked excitedly as he spread his wings to prepare to flight. Cloudracer narrowed her icy blue eyes,"yah, fun" she growled and turned towards Puffnut.

She climbed onto her slippery back, and it wasn't the most comfortable thing Cloudracer had ever experienced. She allowed it anyway, keeping her complaints to herself. We are off to find the Red Death, i shouldn't make a fuss about anything, or else it'll just throw us off track. As the other dragons lifted off the ground, Cloudracer followed shortly behind.

Since Cloudracer wore no saddle, she noticed Puffnut was sliding around and clutching her neck tightly when she almost slid off her back. It was amusing. They flew in a V formation out towards the ocean where the death had disappeared. As they were flying, a haunting silence had fallen over them. Nobody talked, not even the obnoxious twins. Everyone probably sensed that their situation was to serious and dangerous to laugh and joke about.

They flew high in the sky, but low enough that they weren't in the clouds. "Hopefully the Red Death is slow enough that we can catch it by sunset." Hiccup said from up ahead. Astrid agreed with him, like she did with most things. Cloudracer guessed that they were in some sort of relationship. Do humans have relationships with each other?

She shook her head. of course they did.

Eventually, the sun began to set behind the purple mountains and everyone was tired, yet there was no land in sight. Then, Cloudracer saw it. A huge lump seemed to be floating in the middle of the sky and she made the first noise she had made on the journey, which was a mixture of an excited, furious, and scared roar. It seemed to get everyone's attention and they also noticed the Red Death flying unevenly in front of them. It looked like a distant, floating mountain.

They sped up their flight, the dragons whimpering and lagging from tired wings. Cloudracer too was exhausted. She had never flown this far in her life. She had never really strayed far from the island, except for when she had to attack Berk.

She noticed Toothless, who seemed to still have as much energy in him as when they had started the journey. His wings never skipped a beat and his head never hung. Compared to Toothless, Cloudracer probably looked like she had been inflicted with that poison stuff again.

They drew nearer every hour that passed and when the Red Death was clearly in sight, but far enough away that it couldn't sense the dragons. They pulled through, each day following it even more. The Red Death seemed to have endless energy, almost like Toothless, or it was very determined to get to it's destination.

Sometimes as they flew, Cloudracer could faintly fell herself veering to the side through her own hazy mind, but she rightened her self as quickly as she could before Toothless, or any of the other dragons could notice, embarrassed. By the way the other dragons flew, she could tell that they had flown many miles also, but not quite as long as this. They too showed some signs of tiredness.

___________ many days later __________

Cloudracer was practically ready to drop dead in the middle of the ocean. The Death was still flying at a lumbering pace in front of them. Or at least that's what she last thought. She had resorted to staring at the ocean. If only we could stop and float on the ocean. If only we could take a rest. But Hiccup had explained to everyone that they couldn't stop in case they lost the Death in the night, and they couldn't touch the ocean or else it would make to big of a splash and alert it that we were following it.

"Land!" She suddenly heard Fishlegs whisper from up ahead. She rose her head, her eyes narrowing when they met light. But relief washed over her when a huge continent rose up in front of them. It seemed to fill her with a new spurt of energy at the sight of land. The Red Death seemed to speed up also and they found themselves flying at an even faster pace. They were almost there, and that one fact sparked a little bit of happiness in her heart.
