Cloudracer's PoV

Cloudracer woke up to a blinding sunlight. It was as if she had been living in a cave her whole life and had just emerged into the outside. But one thing was for sure, she felt more alive then ever. She could feel energy flowing throughout her whole body, just waiting to be released.

As the light grew dimmer, Cloudracer stared around at the unfamiliar place. All around her, trees so tall that they looked like they could touch the stars rose up like great pillars. They formed a roof of leaves above her, with a small hole every so often where the sunlight turned the ground golden. Strange sounding birds squawked in the trees and vines were draped on every branch. Small fat, brown, furry animals with a short nose and long claws moved slowly throughout the trees. She could still faintly here the voices of the Vikings somewhere near her, but, they sounded.... strange. Maybe the voices were a little curious, surprised, but they were also scared. Cloudracer could practically smell the fear coming off of them.

She stood up on her short legs and crept towards the Vikings. She couldn't see them, but knew that they were talking about dragons. That's normal though. Why should they be scared? As she came to a large boulder, Cloudracer stuck her head up from the top of it and saw them. They were all in a circle, each one facing outwards in a different direction. Hiccup had his sword gripped firmly in his hand, and to her surprise, the sword was on fire.

The vikings' dragons were also staring around them fearfully outwards into the trees. But, what are they staring at? There's nothing there! Are they expecting the Red Death to come busting through the trees and take us by surprise? We would hear it a mile away! Cloudracer's question was soon answered. Dragons began to appear out of nowhere as if they had been invisible. Their scales changed between any color you could thing of. Long fangs poked out from under their top lip and they had a fin behind their ears. Not only were the rainbow dragons coming out of nowhere, but also large black and purple ones with long white horns. The black dragons were about the size of a monstrous nightmare, and the rainbow ones were about the same size in height as a deadly nadder.

Yet, as the dragons came closer, Cloudracer could tell that the rainbow dragons were far more curious, and confused then the black ones, who wore a suspicious and possibly hostile and had a territorial look. The new dragons didn't seem to be interested in the Vikings at all, they were studying Cloudracer and all of the vikings' dragons. She could tell that they were especially interested in Stormfly and Barf and Belch. Maybe dragons with two heads and one that walks on two legs like a bird were alien to them.

As she was scanning the small circle of Vikings, Cloudracer noticed one odd thing. There seemed to be someone missing. Puffnut! Where is she! I have to find her. She could feel panic rising in her chest as she frantically tried to sneak away without the other dragons noticing. Ducking behind the rock, Cloudracer bolted through the undergrowth, as low to the ground as possible and her wings wrapped around her tightly. I hope the shadows are keeping me hidden.

Cloudracer's instinct was to immediately go into the forest, and that she did. She ran as fast as her short little legs could manage and slipped behind rocks every so often. And at first she thought that the dragons hadn't noticed her until she heard footsteps behind her. Looking backwards, Cloudracer could see only two dragons out of the many surrounding the vikings; that didn't stop her from running.

Cloudracer turned her head around to look forward again, only to have her heart skip a beat as she dodged a looming tree and almost immediately flatten Puffnut. She didn't hesitate to cover Puffnut's face in saliva, almost completely forgetting about the dragons that had just now rounded the tree and were staring at them.
