McKenzie pov

Today is my birthday and hopefully I will find my mate the same for my brothers too, but if I don't then all the feelings I have had toward James will just be my wishful thinking because of how close we have always been. I have no idea what I will do if he isn't after all those years of having feeling for him then finding out he isn't my mate will break me apart.

So at 20:35 tonight I will know who my mate is as that is the time I was born and when my wolf side turns eighteen. I know some may think why is that I tell you our wolf may be a part of us but unlike humans who have the day they were born as their birthdays, our wolf only has a few hours for theirs and that starts from the moment we were born and because I was born at 20:35 that is when my wolfs birthday starts. So until our wolf side turns eighteen we won't know who our mate is, so we could be around them all day and not know but as soon as our wolf side turn eighteen we will find out who our mates is if they are near us.

Sometimes it could take months maybe years to find them like it did for dad Xander who was nearly 21 when he found his if mum wasn't carrying me and my brothers he would have know sooner, like from the moment he picked mum up from the airport but because of us he didn't so in a way it was our doing but within a few hours of us being born he know mum was his mate. I think they know in a way because over the months of him moving here feeling for dad Xander started to grow between them both but because they didn't know they didn't act on the feeling they had and plus mum wouldn't have let him because he thought dad Xander mate was still out there for him to find them.
