Chapter Twenty Eight

Angelica's POV

I speeded right out of the house and turned right away from the Vampire Community and into the secluded area where I needed to meet someone.

I stood right in front of her door and it didn't took me a long time to knock before the door swing opened revealing the witch.

"Ahh, my Goddess. How may I help you?" She spoke with a sense of mockery, but I shoved it aside and entered her house.

I heard the door behind me close shut as I sat at a vacant chair I saw and placed my face into my palms.

"Having troubles I see." I heard her commented while I looked up and glared at her.

"Thanks Captain Obvious." I snapped as she just raised her hands up in mock surrender.

I just groaned and turned away to look at the interior designs of her house.

It looks homey, unlike any other witches' house you would find. It is not dark and you can't find any potions and those other stuffs here.

"I see your place is quite ordinary." I complimented while looking around at her bright color walls and furniture.

"Only because I sensed that you were coming. Your aura can be attracted from a mile away since it has become stronger." She spoke casually while leaning against the table.

"How do I stop it then? I want this aura or whatever the process that is occurring in me to stop. It's frightening everyone, including my mates." I spoke out frustratingly.

"Even Seungcheol, Jeonghan and Jisoo..... they're afraid of me." I whispered as I felt tears streaming down my cheeks.

The whole house was silent with no one saying a word and my sobs were the only thing heard.

"That's one curse of the Goddess of the Vampire Angel." She suddenly spoke which made me look up at her.

"W-what do you mean?" I croaked out and stared at her dark intimidating eyes.

"Every one has a mate or mates. But there is only one person, who can never keep them forever and that's the Goddess of the Vampire Angel." She explained while I kept quiet, urging her to continue.

"The power radiating from the first Goddess was so powerful that it intimidated her mate so much which caused him to kneel before her and treat her as a superior. He could never treat her as his equal, his mate because she is too powerful. The Goddess was hurt, torn.... The only man she loved couldn't be her equal. She could never experience the full mating bond. Yes, her mate did mark her, which fulfilled her transformation, but that was it. Nothing else. There wasn't love from the heart since the man wouldn't dare to treat her as his own and therefore, she had to let him go. It's a sacrifice all the next Goddesses had to make, and so do you. That's the prophecy that's been told." She finished explaining to which more tears fell rapidly down my cheeks.

They won't be mine forever. I have to let them go at one point.

"But why? It's not fair." I whispered while staring at her with tears still in my eyes.

"It's called Forbidden Love. Fate was cruel to you Angelica. You could have had a normal life as a Vampire Angel together with your three mates. But destiny had something else planned for you." She explained to me while I closed my eyes and let more tears fall.

I don't want to let them go. I can't bear the heartbreak if I do.

I walked back along the path towards the Vampire Community and soon the Red Vampire Mansion was in view.

I stood a few feet away from the mansion and leaned against the tree as I reminisced all the memories I had in that mansion for the past few months.
