Chapter Thirty Eight

Angelica's POV

Seungcheol, Jeonghan and Jisoo told me to spend some time with their brothers and Rebecca while they leave for some business around town.

Apparently, their coronation is coming soon to be crowned kings, and yes, you heard me right.

Kings.

It appears that the rule in the Vampire Community is when the eldest son shares the same mate as one or two of his brothers, they would all be in line as the next kings after their father stepped down.

It also makes me a queen.

I was caressing the cover of my great grandmother's diary in my hands while I smiled down at it.

"Thank you so much." I whispered as I placed a lingering kiss on the book before placing it in a special box and sealed it with my blood.

In order for it not to be lost in case my next reincarnation comes, only the blood of a Goddess can open this box.

I smiled and safely locked the box inside my drawers in my room and prepared to turn around and leave before I stopped in my track.

My smile immediately disappeared as it was replaced by a scowl when I saw who was in front of me.

By the smell from him, I can tell he's a demon.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the last Vampire Angel on Earth." His cold voice was demanding while I stood tall and glared at him.

"Who are you and what do you want?" I spoke out in a seething tone as his smile widened.

"You destroyed my love. So I'll destroy you." He spoke casually while I clenched my hands into a fist and felt my eyes changing color.

As I was just about to transform, I felt something plunge into the back of my neck and it was removed soon.

I turned around and saw a guy but he was blurry as I started feeling woozy and eventually fell onto the floor.

"Sweet dreams." I heard a sick voice before I was engulfed into darkness.

Rebecca's POV

"Hey Angelica~ are you in there?" I knocked on her door but got no reply.

I knocked again and still no reply so I decided to twist the doorknob and luckily it was unlocked.

I saw the room empty as I walked further into the room until I stopped dead in my track when I felt the eerie it was giving off.

I sniffed the air and my eyes widened when I smelt something unfamiliar yet familiar at the same times.

"Guy! GUYS! Come up here!" I hollered and soon, all 10 of my brothers sped right up and were now surrounding me in her room.

"What is it Rebecca?" Wonwoo asked.

"Do you guys smelled that?" I stated while looking at them before they started sniffing the air.

And soon, all of their eyes turned colors and their fangs grew which only meant one thing.

Demons were here.

"Why do we smell demons in this room?" Mingyu asked while I looked around and saw something on the ground.

I picked it up and saw that it was Angelica's necklace. The one she always wears.

"Angelica might be in trouble." I showed the necklace to them as they stared at it before looking at me.

"They kidnapped her? What do we do?" Vernon asked while I tried thinking of a plan.

"Mind link Seungcheol, Jeonghan and Jisoo while I call my angel mates and their brothers. We need all the help we can get." I ordered before they all nodded and I quickly sprinted out of the mansion and sped all the way to the Angel Community.

Don't worry Angelica. We'll save you.

Angelica's POV

I opened my eyes abruptly when I heard a loud bang and immediately scanned the room.

I was chained into a wall while there was a large window on the left and a door on the right, as a huge chandelier was placed on the ceiling.

I wriggled my hands above my head and also my legs but to no avail, they wouldn't budge.

"Oh don't even try." I heard a voice and looked up to see a man standing there with a wicked smile.

How did he get there?

He walked closer to me as I scanned his face until realization hit me.

"You... you were the guy from the party. The one I bumped into after coming from the bathroom." I stated while he smiled.

"I'm glad you remember me." He said before laughing as the door flew open and another guy entered and I recognized him from the one in my bedroom.

"Hello Angelica~ I see you're awake." He said smiling while I gritted my teeth and glared at him.

"What do you want?" I spat each words out with much venom which only caused him to smile wider.

"My name's Cole and what I want, is you gone actually. I'm the one who got rid of your whole Community but I guess you were left and the worst part is you're the Goddess. The only threat to us demons. And we can't let you roam freely." He said while I practically spit at his face when he got closer to me.

That earned me a slap while I clenched my hands and turned to him seething in anger.

"You also killed Christina, which you're going to pay for." He said with a wicked smile before walking backwards together with the other guy.

"Oh! And one more thing." He said while his hand was on the doorknob.

"After I'm done with you, I'm going after your pretty little mates next. That's how you're going to pay for killing someone I love." He stated with a grin on his face while my eyes widened and my heartbeat quickened.

No... not them.

Then soon, he left through the door and I was left in this room with no chance of breaking free from these chains.

The thing they injected into me has gotten my powers to weaken as I can't use my Vampire Strength to break through.

I need to get out before he get rids of me then my mates too.
