Still Unexpected

Chapter Sixteen

Daisy's P.O.V

Once Katrina had left to go visit her neighbour friend, I texted Chris a quick, "Come over" to tell him about the events of last night. I would inform Dan and Phil later. They had bigger fish to fry.

I decided while I was waiting for Chris to arrive I might as well give Fionn his card from me. I leave my apartment to knock on his, but finding it open, I open the door. Fionn is sitting on his sofa, head resting gently in his hands. I tap on the door quietly.

 "Daisy?"

 "Hi, er..is this a bad time?"

 "No, no come in." He attempts a smile.

 "I just thought I'd drop off this birthday card before Chris gets here."

 "Chris?"

 "My boyfriend. He'll be here any minute, so..here ya are." I hand him the blue envelope.

 "Thank you." 

 "You're welcome. Say, you haven't seen Katrina around, have you?"

 "No, she...er...left a while ago."

 "Okay. Well, happy birthday." I left without a reply.

That was awkward. Katrina said he was more upbeat than that. Speaking of Katrina, I wonder where she is...

When I get back to my apartment, Chris is standing there. He looks pleased to see me.

 "Where the hell have you been? I've been waiting for at LEAST two minutes! Gah.." He tuts at me.

I laugh, and link my arm in his, opening the door for him. We walk in together. I missed him.

 "Want a drink?" I ask, as he makes himself at home by sprawling on my couch. I smile.

 "Uh yeah thanks."

 "Tea?"

 "Tea." He nods, smiling.

 "And that's it!" I had informed Chris of everything that had happened concerning PJ.

 "Wow..I..wow." He chuckled awkwardly.

 "Yeah, I know. It must be so confusing for everyone, especially Katrina. I really hope PJ and Katrina stay together." I sigh.

Me and Chris cuddle on the sofa. It's comfortable. Plus Dick and Dom are on, which is always a good thing.

 "I like this episode." I say.

 "Huh?"

 "This episode of The Legend of Dick and Dom. I like it." I point to the TV.

 "I like this one too. Why does Dick just run off like that?"

 "I know. What a dick." I laugh at my own pun, then realise I'm on my own.

 "I think it's because they need to collect the bat stuff."

 "Oh right."

 "I was just trying to get off the PJ topic. Our quality Chris and Daisy time is brimming with tension."

 "Okay, let's not talk about it for now. Let's watch Dick and Dom some more. I think there's a Legend of Dick and Dom marathon on right now."

 "All the seasons, let's do it!" I declare.
