Katrina's P.O.V
The funeral ceremony was sad, but I managed not to cry. Daisy's speech was sweet, I feel so sorry for her. She stayed so strong.
As people talked to each other and spoke to Daisy, with Chris adamantly by her side, I stuck with Dan, Phil, and PJ - who managed to show up. Halfway through the speech mind you. Dan and Phil are talking amongst each other.
"You made it," I remark with a light smirk.
"I did indeed. I felt so stupid after last night telling her I couldn't come. Really heartless of me," he explains.
"But hey, you came, I'm sure she's glad of that."
PJ nods. Ah, we're being so civilised.
"So...how are you?" He asks.
"I'm doing okay, how about you? How's...Peter?"
"He's okay. I'm okay, too."
"Well good," I nod.
This is just plain awkward.
Dan and Phil remark about something and PJ makes a comment back. Now he's in a conversation with them. I'm not thinking phew, but I'm thinking phew.
I decide to take a wander through the myriad of people, family members who I've never seen and most likely will never see again. I'm kind of thankful I've never met any before...I'm not fond of strangers.
I look back at Dan, Phil and PJ. PJ notices me and smiles, I smile back. I think we're back on good terms. I must say I'm really excited for the wedding, to tell the truth I've never been to a wedding before.
I turn back to where I was headed, in pursuit of Daisy.
She's not there?
