Daisy's P.O.V

Me and my mum weren't that close. I loved her and she was a friend, but we hadn't seen each other in a couple of years. It was difficult as I lived in London and she lived in a small town in the middle of nowhere,. It's just the fact that I wouldn't get the chance to see her again, or tell her stuff, or even just casual tea and chat. That stuff I would miss out on, that's what made me sad. After Katrina had made us all tea, I went straight to bed. I didn't feel like anything. I just, sort of sat there. Chris came in halfway during the night.

"Daisy? You awake babe?"

"Yeah." I say quietly.

"How are you?"

"Great." I say sarcastically.

"I know. Stupid question, really. But it's what you say, isn't it? Look, I'm..er..I'm sorry about your mum. When I met her she seemed lovely. Like mother like daughter ey?" He smiled.

"She was lovely."

He crawled into bed with me, pulling me close to him. I do nothing but acknowledge the fact he's there.

"I love you, remember that. And she does too. Well, she did. I mean, she still does, of course she doe-"

"I know what you mean." I smile.

There was silence.

"She wanted to be a grandmother." I whispered.

"Hmm?"

"My mum. She wanted to be a granny. More than anything. Once she retired, she wanted to be a grandmother. Look after my kids when we went on dates and such. I just haven't been ready for kids and you've obviously been busy and everything that's happened..she was only 57."

"57? What did she die from? Sorry to ask."

"Cancer. Brain tumor, I think. I just wish she'd told me. She didn't mention it at all when we were down there a couple of years ago."

"I'm sorry. But when we do have kids, she'll still look after them. Just, not physically. Emotionally." He squeezes my hand.

"I miss her already."

Chris's POV:

I talked to Daisy until she started to drift off to sleep. I quietly left her and closed the door, only to find 8 pairs of eyes staring at me. Dan, Phil, PJ and Katrina were at the door, concerned looks on their faces.

"Is she okay?" Katrina asks.

"Not really. But she's asleep. I wanted to leave her for a bit. It's such a shock."

"I know, I know. When I got the call I was really surprised." Dan shook his head in disbelief. All four looked like they had been crying. I'll admit I had cried a lot when Daisy had fallen asleep, mainly for her.

"I hate seeing her upset." I run my hand through my hair.
