I worked for a company located in downtown New York as a designer. It is amazing to work in this city but because of the traffic I didn't like to drive myself. So everytime I went to my work I called a taxi which my boss paid for.

I was waiting in front of my appartment till the taxi finally showed up. I quickly got in, ready to go to work. Inside the car the radio was on and my favorite song was being played. I hummed silently but saw the taxi driver looking at me in the mirror and smiling slightly.

I never really paid attention to how the drivers looked like but he was different. He was still pretty young and quite handsome.

"You like this song, miss?" He suddenly said.

"Yeah, I do actually." I answered without looking at him through the mirror. I did feel his eyes on me though.

After a short while I finally arrived at my work. When I got to my office I continued working on a dress which was almost finished. My friend came to me all happy.

"You'll never guess what happened last night." (B/f/n) said.

"So what happened?" I said still working on the dress.

"Last night I met this guy and he was so perfect! We've already planned a date! I'm so happy, (y/n)." She almost screamed from excitedment.

"That's great! I'm happy for you too, (b/f/n)."

"So do you have anyone in your sight?" She said smirking.

"No, not really."

"How about that taxi driver today?"

I looked up at her in confusion. "Huh, what?"

"I saw you get out of the car. I waved at you but you didn't notice. The driver suddenly got out of the car and called after you holding a bag in his hands." She handed me the bag. "Your bag. I walked toward him and said I could give you the bag. And thus here I am."

"Thank you for the bag, but I really should go working right now. Good luck with your new boyfriend." I said.

She laughed and said goodbye as she walked away to her own room.

When my day was over it was time to go home. It had really been a long day since I made extra hours hoping I could finish this dress. I didn't make it unfortunately. Everyone had already left so it was my duty to closs the door.

In front of the building I waited for a taxi. I saw one coming my way and when the car stopped in front of me I got in immediately. It was so cold outside.

"Hi, miss. So we meet again." I heard the driver say.

I looked up in the mirror and saw that it was the same driver who drove me to my work before.

"Three times and I'll buy you a drink." He said.

"I don't think there will be a third time." There are so many different taxi drivers in New York the chance that I met him for the third time was almost 0%.

"Why don't we make it two times then?"

"Well I don't know. It was a long day of working for me, so I'd really just like to get home as quick as possible."

In the mirror I saw that he looked hurt. I felt bad for rejecting him but I was so tired.

"I understand, miss."

The rest of the ride we said nothing and I just texted with (b/f/n).

The next day at work I was finally able to finish the dress but when the day was over I found out I didn't have something to carry the dress with me. Since I didn't want it to get torn I chose not to put it in my small bag. The only option left was to wear it myself till I got to my appartment.

I quickly got dressed and was ready to leave. Outside the building I waited for a taxi just as usual. I waited for like 30 seconds and a yellow car stopped in front of me.

I could not believe my eyes when I saw a handsome young man get out of the car. It was...

"Hello, miss. I see you've dressed yourself lovely for our date tonight."

At first I was confused but in a second a smirk appeared on my face. "Yes, of course! You did promise me a drink, remember?" I walked closer to him till our faces almost touched. "So where are we going"

He looked at me mysteriously, gave me a kiss on the cheek and opened the car's door for me. It was thw front seet door. Never had I ever sat in the front seet of a cab. He gestured me to get in the car and when I stepped into the it I heard my favorite song on the radio. Again I asked where we'd be going.

Before closing the door he said. "Just wait and see."
