Chapter 42

Skyler's POV

So beach after school right?" I ask pulling the car prop to centre stage "Yup, we made our first youtube video with Ash and Calum wants to initiate the new guy" Michael chuckles "wait so then why are Nat and I coming?" I whine knowing that I was going to get my hair wet. 

Michael shrugs grabbing the other side of the prop and adjusting it to the right angle "Cause Calum wont be able to last that long without Nat and Luke refuses to go without you" I cough thinking I must of heard wrong. 

"Shit," Michael says under his breath "Pretend you didn't hear that" I blush "You are so annoying" I laugh letting go of the prop.

Michael rubs his hands together and pulls out his phone obviously checking his messages "no way" he says excitedly "what?" "our twitter already has 200 followers" he said excitedly beginning to dance around 

"Oh my god" I manage to say in between fits of giggles "Michael never do that in public again ever!" Michael just smirks dancing over to me and grabbing my hands and prompting me to dance with him. 

"Nope" I say grabbing my bag off the floor and trying to run around him "Michael I swear-" I warn trying again to reach the door I squeal as he wraps his hands around my waist and pulls me away. 

"Luke?" I question seeing him surrounded by a bunch of upperclassmen as I exit the school Luke turns slightly to face me an expression I had never seen before on his face. 

"Sky go home," he warns his voice raspier then usual. "Who's this then?" The tall blonde says pulling his attention away from Luke "Your girlfriend?" he cackles making my blood boil. "What does that matter to you?" I reply angrily 

"Skyler" Luke says sternly I stare at him the use of my full name unfamiliar. The older boy grabs the collar of Luke's Shirt and pushes him forcefully against the wall 

"See Lukey we did you a favour breaking those neon glasses of yours" "I thought they were cool" I hear Ashton's familiar voice call suddenly standing behind him. "What's this about Austin, he's two years younger lay off" "mind your own business Ashton" Austin replies coldly Ashton snorts tapping him on the shoulder 

"Hi me again," I chuckle at his sassiness in light of the situation "You're on probation beating up a first year will be bound to get you expelled" he reminds him Austin sighs letting go of his grip on Luke's shirt and pushing past Ashton. Luke squeezes Ashton's shoulder and said a quiet thanks, he shrugs 

"See you at band practise" he smiles walking off. "Luke" I say hugging him tightly, he pulled away quickly "Skyler they could've hurt you what where you thinking?" I glare at him "They where about to hurt you!" 

"They didn't" "But they were about to" "Sky" "Luke" I counter we smile at each other for a brief moment "how long have they been messing with you?" I ask Luke fiddles with is thumbs obviously hoping to avoid the question. 

"Since I first got here" he admits "It's not that big a deal... really." "Luke you have to tell someone" I say concerned "Sky just leave it alone" "no Luke you sh-" I was cut off by a pair of lips meeting mine, his hands cupping my cheeks my eyes shut but before I can even react he pulls away leaving his hands on my face. "Just drop it ok?" he whispers touching our foreheads together. I gulp nodding slightly, Luke smiles dropping his hands and walking away leaving me standing there. 

"Hey!" Nat greets me somehow already in my house I drop my bag wordlessly "he kissed me"I gulp sitting down on my bed next to Natalie "yeah ok you guys kiss all the time silly" she says tapping my nose. 

"No Nat I mean like kissed me" I say emphasizing the words. Natalie squealed wrapping her arms around me "tell me everything," she says excitedly grabbing a pillow and holding on to it. I stare at her "what?" I cough "nothing we uh we should get ready for the beach" "but but" she pouts 

"you should wear your hair up" I decide rummaging through my closet "like high pony." I grab my teal two piece and head to the bathroom to change. I decide to wear a zip up hoodie and leggings over top incase we stayed late. 

I wore my hair in a messy braid that I got Natalie to help me do. "So is it going to be weird then?" Natalie asks me "Seeing Luke? I'm assuming that'd why you're not telling me what happened." She whines I roll my eyes pushing her in the direction of the bathroom "go get dressed we're going to be late."

Natalie's POV

I rolled my eyes before finally putting my blue bikini.  I threw on my off the shoulder tee and a pair of shorts, before hearing a honk outside the window.  I looked out before smiling.  Calum, was looking from the truck and he smiled before motioning for me to come on.  

I grinned before pulling Skyler saying "Let's go!"  We stumbled out of the house and jumped into the truck, as Skyler, Luke, Michael and Ashton squished in the back.  "I hope you don't get pulled over by the police!" I said as Cal began to drive.

We finally arrived at the beach about half an hour later.  We immediately jumped out before me and Cal grabbed some towels and snacks out of the back.  Cal then said "I hope you're ready for a water fight." "Oh please, I was born ready!" I said hitting him playfully with a towel, as we ran through the sand, as it tickled our toes.

"Last one there is a rotten egg!" Michael yelled, ripping his shirt off.  "Hey no fair!" Skyler yelled before she took off her shirt.  We all stripped down to our bathing suits before finally all racing to the swirling ocean waters.

The cold water hit my legs instantly, causing goosebumps to form all over my body.  Calum turned around to me and grinned before saying "At least the waters cold." "Oh my god Cal don't you dare...." I warned but I never finished my sentence before Calum chucked me over his shoulder.

"Cal don't you dare!" I shrieked as the cold water surrounded me.  I came out of it, before I saw Cal right beside me, his hair wet as well.  "At least I'm just as cold as you." he said giving me a peck.

I pushed him, pouting, and said "But you chucked me in anyways."  He came over and tapped my nose before he said "You're cute when you pout."

I smiled and he then said "And you're even cuter when you smile."  We continued to swim around, before we took a break on the sand.  I was laying down on my back on one of the towels as I attempted to tan...slightly.  

"Babe, are you asleep?" Cal asked, poking me a little on my stomach.  "Calllll" I whined but then his fingers began to gently tickle me and I said "Cal if you tickle me I swear..."  But it was too late.

Calum began to tickle me, and I began to squirm before breaking into a fit of giggles and curling up into a ball.  "Cal!" I squealed as he leaned forward tickling me even more and enveloping me in his arms.  "No stoooppppp" I giggled as he continued to hold me in his strong grip.  "Never!" he joked as I laughed again, and he gave my cheek a peck.

"Guys can we cut the PDA by just a little bit?" Michael childishly complained rolling his eyes.  Cal stuck his tongue out and said "Please Clifford, you wouldn't be slowing it down if you had a girl."  

Everyone laughed as Michael blushed before saying "Whatever.  We might as well get the snacks out.  Where are they anyways Hood?  Did Natalie distract you too much?"

Cal blushed a little before he said "Right here actually."
