Skyler's POV
I knocked on Luke's door nervously pulling my sweater towards my body. The door swing open and Luke pulled me into a tight hug, "Hey," he said pulling me into his house and shutting the door.
"Mom, this is Skyler" Luke said as his mom watched us from the kitchen, she smiled leaving her tea and extending her hand to me. "Nice to meet you Skyler I've heard a lot about you" Luke coughs awkwardly and I can't help but smirk taking her hand and shaking lightly
"Nice to meet you too Mrs. Hemmings" "please call me Liz" she insisted I nod slightly. "Alright well we're going to go study" Luke announces gesturing me to follow him up the stairs "with the door open!" "Mom!" Luke yells back his face red, I laugh climbing up the winded stair case behind him.
I follow him to the second bedroom on the right and he pushes the door open slightly waiting for me to enter. The room was painted cream colour and the walls where plain, quite the contrast from mine which where covered in posters.
From what I could see his room was pretty bare, a bed pushed up in the middle a desk conveniently with two chairs and a shelf which I assume is suppose to be for books but was currently holding several types of music.
I walk over to his selection and start reading the names "you have quite the collection" I say Luke still leaning against the doorway, he smiles breathlessly making his was over to me he reaches his arm across and pulls out one.
"Here" he says handing me the disk, I look at him confused and he shrugs, the C.D. had a blank cover and I can barely make out the writing that had been scratched into the side. I look up at him his eyes seemingly trapping mine again, his eyes flickering down to my lips before I can even process what's happening we're within kissing distance.
Just when our lips are about to touch….."We should study" he says running to his desk and pulling out a note book. Stupid Skyler he doesn't like you that way you probably imagined the whole thing.
"Right yeah" I say grabbing my books and sitting down beside him at the desk. "So what is it that you're stuck on?" "everything" I rely sheepishly "I may be failing" I admit not daring to look him in the eye "what Sky how?"
"I've never been good at math it's not that big a deal I'm only failing by two percent." Luke sighs shuffling his seat closer if that where possible. "Then it looks like we have a lot of work to do." He whispers.
"Ok wait so let me see if I got this" I say biting the top of my pencil total number: a + c = 2200
"yes" Luke prompted "which means?" "That 4a + 1.5c = 5050" I say excitedly he sighs looking disappointed "damn I could've sworn I got that right you know what I gi-" "Sky" he interupts "that was perfect!" "really?" I squeal jumping into his arms. "Thanks Hemmings" "Anytime Andrews."
Natalie's POV
I typed away at my English exam study notes. Suddenly my phone buzzed and I grabbed it and looked to see it was Skyler.
Sky: I'm a math genius now!
Nat: oh rlly? :P
Sky: i'll tell u wen i get there
I smiled to myself and I thought of the fact that Skyler had gone to Luke's. Maybe they had fit a kiss or two into that study session.
Suddenly my phone buzzed again and I saw it was Calum calling me. "Hey." I said smiling as I leaned back into the office chair. "Hey babe, I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to a rugby game." "Woah wait what? A RUGBY GAME!?" I said, standing up immediately.
"Yup. Gordons versus Randwick. Are you up to it?" he asked, somewhat nervously. "That's not a question, because the answer is YES!" I said before Cal told me he gave me details.
I went down the stairs and said "Mom, dad I'm going to a rugby game tonight!" "With who?" my dad questioned. He was always up to date with the leagues. "With Calum. It's Gordons versus Randwick. I think it'll be an exciting match." I said excitingly.
"Calum's your....boyfriend....right?" my dad asked, and I rolled my eyes and said "Yes dad, he's my BOYFRIEND." "Come on darling, you have to let her go! She's been studying hard, and I think she needs a good break." "Why can't you watch it here on the telly?" my dad questioned. I sighed and said "Dad, would you rather watch a live game of rugby, or sit here and watch it on the telly?"
"That has nothing to do with it Nat!" "Dad, you're NOT letting me watch a rugby game?" I gasped. My dad sighed and said "So this....boyfriend of yours...." "Dad, he's got tickets. He even told me the seat numbers!"
"Seems like a pretty big thing of him to do. Rugby tickets...." my dad said before I sighed and said "Dad, I don't see a problem with it." "Neither do I Robert. I say she should go." my mom said, leaning against the kitchen counter.
"Alright, alright, but you better be home by 11! I don't want any funky business alright?" my dad said and I said "Yup! Now, I'm gonna grab my sweater, because Cal's gonna be here in five minutes!"
"You don't want dinner?" my mother questioned and I said "Me and Cal were planning on grabbing something on the way." "Alright. Here take this." my mom said handing me some cash. "Just in case." she said as I quickly turned from my sweats into jeans, and I threw Cal's black hoodie over my tank top.
Me and Cal were on our way, heading to the pitch, before I felt my phone buzzing. I pulled it out, seeing it was Skyler. "Hey Sky." I said as Skyler said "You're going to a RUGBY game?" "Yeah me and Cal." Skyler huffed and said "But I'm aloooonnneeee" "Well maybe if you watch the game you'll see me and Cal on the telly!" I said as we finally arrived to the place.
