Chapter 16

Skyler's POV

I pulled Natalie up the stairs "tell me everything!" I demanded sitting across from her, "alright so after you guys left Calum joined truth or dare, and I just watched." "right I assumed so" I interrupted she looked at me in slight annoyance and I smiled throwing my hands up into the air defensively. 

"Sorry, sorry continue" "as I was saying he was playing truth or dare and on Calum's turn they dared his to kiss the girl he's been crushing on," I squealed "oh my god Calum kissed you?" I ask standing up and jumping on the couch. 

Natalie blushed "shut up" she mumbled, I take a breath and settle in beside her "so how was it? Is he a good kisser? He looks like a good kisser did you feel sparks are you two like together now?" "Skyler" Natalie replies embarrassed "What they are all valid questions," 

She rolled her eyes lying down on the bed. "I don't really know" she confesses "guess we'll have to wait and see" she says rolling over onto her side getting into a more comfortable position I sigh patting her knee "I'll make us some food," I announce getting up. 

I walk down the stairs and groan at the silence I put my ear buds in and clicked on Jesey Rae heating up the stove and putting on the pot of boiling water. I danced around the kitchen singing along, I nearly jumped when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I put the pasta in the pot before I pulled it out seeing I had gotten a text from Luke. 

Hey did Nat tell u what happened? -Luke

I smiled, typing back quickly wondering if he knew what happened or if he was fishing for information. 

That depends... what did Cal tell u? -Skyler

That he kissed her -Luke

Oh ok ya she did -Skyler

Your so weird -Luke 

Im awesome -Skyler

pshh ok -Luke

So is the beach going to weird tomorrow -Skyler

Not for us it's not -Luke

I smirk, almost excited to see how tomorrow would go for them I sigh turning of the stove and straining the pasta I separate it into two bowls and walked up the stairs. "Yay!" Natalie said reaching out for the bowl, I laugh warning "it's hot" I say handing her the bowl she shrugs blowing on her first fork full. 

"So are you excited for tomorrow?"  I ask her eyes go wide "maybe I shouldn't go" she says nervously I roll my eyes "Are you insane of course your going would you really pass up the opportunity to see Calum shirtless I mean come on. "I hate you," she blushes 

"hey I made you food you're not allowed to hate me" she glares at me before taking another fork full. "We have to look super awesome tomorrow though" I say grabbing my bowl and crossing my legs. "Obviously," she says tying to impersonate Snape laugh punching her shoulder. "Alright well I should go" Natalie says getting up "see you tomorrow" I call after her as she shuts the door. 

Natalie's POV

I quickly crossed the street, heading into the house, and running up the stairs and finally reaching my room.  The entire day seemed so unreal, as I quickly ripped off the constraining clothing before slipping under the fresh lemon scented covers and falling into a deep sleep. 

The next morning, I woke up lazily, hearing my ringtone screaming at me from my bedside table.  I reached my arm over, looking at who was calling me.  Calum.  

I didn't want to decline the call, but I didn't want Calum to hear my morning voice, and the sleepiness that usually would cause me to say stupid things.

I clicked the green button however.  One of those stupid things that I did when I was tired.  "Morning." I said, yawning.  "Morning to you to sunshine." Calum said, his voice sounding a little raspy.  He sounded so hot with that morning voice.  Wait, what?

"So what do you require at this early and unruly hour of the morning?" I asked in a posh British accent.  Calum laughed.  I loved his laugh.  Best way to wake up really.  "Well it's just 10." "Earrrlllyyyyyy" I whined and he chuckled before he finally said "Listen I just wanted to let you know that we're coming around 12.  To pick you guys up."

"Do you want me and Sky to have lunch before that?" I asked, propping myself up, rubbing my eyes.  "No it's ok.  There's this nice fish and chip shop we know along the way." "How long of a drive is it?" "Around an hour or so.  It'll be totally worth it."

"Well, I'm gonna go and get all my stuff together.  We shouldn't have stayed out late last night." "Hey it's ok.  Thank God it's a Saturday."  I smiled and quickly said bye, before I opened my swimsuit drawer.

There was an assortment of bikinis and swimsuits to choose from.  Hmm….I finally decided on my blue bikini, and I quickly threw it on, and I wore a tank top and shorts.

I packed my beach bag, with an extra shirt and summer dress, my towel, sunglasses, water, and sunscreen.  It sucks to have a hole in the ozone layer here.  On some days, you get could get burned in just ten minutes!

I obviously fixed myself up, my hair still somewhat curly from last night.  I put a small amount of foundation and concealer, but then put a layer of sunscreen on my face, due to the fact I burned there more often.

I had a bit of breakfast, and eventually noon rolled around, and me and Sky came out of our houses, bags over our shoulders.  We hopped into the truck and Calum looked at me, and patted the passenger seat and said "Come on up here Nat."  I smiled at him and hopped up with him, while Luke and Sky took the back.  And then we were on our way.
