Chapter 46

Skyler's POV

Something hitting my window wakes me up I groan checking the time 5:25am I groan pulling the blanket over my head. When my phone buzzes moments later I pull it off my nightstand 

"Hello?" I answer morning voice prominent "Sky?" I hear Natalie say "we have practise in 35 minutes" "get outta bed you dork" I hear Luke say in a background I recognize Calum giggles in the background. "Alright" I say pulling the duvet off of me and sitting up pushing my hair out of my face. I'm about to hang up the phone when I hear Calum through the speaker 

"Will you let us in?" Natalie shushes him and I sigh running down the stairs and opening the door. "Finally!" Michael says "no one talk to me until I've had some coffee" he declares giving me a one armed hug "oi you look like shit" he says a playful smile on his face I glare at him as Luke, Natalie and Calum walk into my house., Calum pressing a quick kiss onto Natalie's forehead. 

I shake my head "too early for this" I say walking into the kitchen "general consensus coffee or tea?" I ask pulling out the kettle "Tea!" "Coffee!" I hear "Natalie, will you make it I have to get dressed" I say leaving all the supplies on the counter and walking up the stairs.

"Sky?" Luke asks timidly a gentle knock on the door, "come in!" I say running to my attached bathroom and grabbing my hairbrush "did Nat send you? I'm almost ready" I tell him brushing my hair through looking at my reflection "huh?" Luke says eyes wondering around my room it hits me that Luke has never been in my room before and I'm suddenly feeling self conscious... of my room. 

"I like your room" Luke smiles standing awkwardly in the middle of it "thanks" I blush trying not to stare. "Why is Michael here?" I ask Luke sending me a questioning look "Not that I don't want him here stupid" I laugh rolling my eyes "he didn't tell you? Mr. Meyer's made him the Danny understudy" I think about this for a second why didn't he tell me? What a weirdo. 

"So did you uh like our show?" Luke asks running his hand across the spine of the books on my shelf. I gulp going to my grandma's old jewellery box and pulling out a necklace "Are you kidding? Of course" "yeah well we're, pretty awesome" Luke shrugs smugly 

"Luke Hemming's look who's all confident" I giggle trying to undue the latch at the back of my jewellery "here let me help" Luke says grabbing my hand and taking the necklace a nod turning around as I hold the pendant. "I really like the last song you played" "yeah?" "yeah" I smile "kind of unrealistic though" Luke chuckles running his fingers through his hair "how so?" he asks letting go of my necklace "what girl would say no to you?" I half joke our eyes locking. "Loo-" Luke starts "Come on we're going to be late for play rehearsal!" Calum screams "I did not get up this early to be late!" Natalie agrees from downstairs interrupting our conversation. Luke looks up at the ceiling an annoyed look on his face before sighing heavily.

"No- no I need you to breath your words" Mr. Meyer declares running up to the stage to give them an example. Mr. Meyers was one of the most hands on teachers at the school you could tell that he truly cared, I waited in the wings bouncing up and down humming the lyrics to Adele's Rolling In The Deep to myself. I spin around catching Luke's eyes from across the stage, as he stood in the other wing fiddling with is fingers. I wave at him pulling a funny face, Luke chuckles sending me one back. I hear my cue and walk onto the stage arms firmly on my hips.  

Natalie's POV

"Alright everyone!  This is over!  Get changed to head to class!" Mr. Meyers as we finally all filed off.  "That was intense." Luke said yawning as we headed back to grab our things.  

"Yeah well the actual performance is in a week." I said pulling my bag onto my shoulders, before we finally began to make our way out.  Luke and Skyler went ahead together, while me and Calum took our time, walking slowly.
