Ally's POV*
"My phone is missing," I said as I searched my front pockets. Ashlinne started searching through my packed bags along with Chasity and Bella.
"Nope. I don't see it," Bella said plainly.
"Did you leave it in the living room?" Chastity asked. I shrugged and ran out of my bedroom door to see.
"Ashlinne, don't touch my gummy bears, I will kill you!" I yelled from down the stairs. I walked into the living room and started throwing pillows out of my way.
"Hey!" I heard a low voice say. Harry put the pillow I accidentally threw at his face down on the ground.
"My phone is missing. I can't find it."
"Oh, okay. Let me help." We searched frantically through the couch cushions and the recliner, but it wasn't anywhere to be found. I peered under the couch and saw the screen of a phone light up with a new message. I pulled it out and noticed that it wasn't mine, and I didn't know who's it was. I turned it over and saw Harry's name engraved on the silver lining of the iPhone.
Oh, so it's Harry's.
I secretly hid under the couch while Harry searched the kitchen for my missing phone. I opened up his recent messages and a bunch of texts from the boys showed up. I scrolled down farther until I got to a name I knew all too well.
"Did you find it?" Harry asked.
"No, not yet. Keep looking. It's around here somewhere."
I opened the messages from Ky and scrolled down their conversation.
It sort of went like this:
Harry: So, how am I supposed to get her back there? Zayn won't budge no matter what. He's a stubborn one.
Ky: Find a way. We need her back here so we can open up Dr. Mayor's new aquarium. If she's here, he's bound to make a fortune. When's the next time you can get her out of the house and somewhere else?
Harry: Today. I'll bring her to the mall before she leaves.
Ky: Good.
"I think I've got it!" Harry said. I pushed the phone back under the couch and made my way out from under it. Harry stood at my feet with my iPhone in his hands.
"Here you go, Ally."
I took it from him and made a fake smile. "Thanks."
"So... I was wondering if you had time to go somewhere with me. Not a date, just maybe to the mall or something. We can talk about... things."
I looked up and down, anywhere that Harry's gaze was not. I stepped to the side and rubbed my shoulder trying to come up with an excuse.
Think, Ally. Think.
"Um, I have to... uh... go make sure... Moe... is okay..." I said, "I'll see you, gotta go, bye!" I ran up the stairs until I was stopped by Zayn.
"You almost done packing? What was all the ruckus downstairs?"
I skipped his first question and answered the second one.
"I lost my phone, but I found it now."
"Oh." His eyes looked excited, "Are you almost ready?"
"Uh, yeah," I said. I walked back to my bedroom and found Bella listening to music, Chasity going through my closet, and Ashlinne nowhere in sight.
"Where-" I started but Chasity cut me off.
"Under the bed." I looked under there and Ashlinne looked surprised with about four gummy bears in her hand and the other holding the bag.
"You're dead, little tramp."
I grabbed her ankle but she reached down and bit my hand.
"Shit, you have a sick bite!" I yelled jumping out from under the bed. She ran out too, and down the hallway.
"Get back here!" I hollered after her.
"You'll never catch me, never!" Her voice trailed through the narrow hallway. I ran after her into the bathroom where the ground was covered in water.
Shit, I thought.
Ashlinne and I transformed quickly. Her green tail simmered as she tried to scoot away from my reach. Her hair wasn't blond, but purple now. It swept over the smile on her face as I tried to grasp my gummy bears.
"When I get over there I'm so gonna kill you."
"Do it," she challenged. My rainbow blond bangs swept over my eyes, blocking my vision as she held the bag of gummy bears over her head. She was a few inches taller than me, but just enough for me to not be able to reach it. I put my arms up, trying all I could until I did something Ashlinne would've never guessed. I opened the palm of my hand and made a swirling motion, then closed my palm tight. Her hand froze along with her arm as I climbed to reach it. I almost got it until I slipped back on the slippery floor, sending Ashlinne laughing.
Soon, her arm was melted, her lips were blue in cold, and I was covered in red spots where she tried to burn me away from my bag of gummy bears.
"This isn't over until the fat lady sings," I said.
"Well, my mother isn't here right now, is she?" This was something Ash would say, she hates her mother.
"Your mom isn't fat," I said. She gave me an are-you-blind look then started laughing. "I know."
I was still reaching for the gummy bears as a knock sounded on the bathroom door.
"What's going on?" Zayn's voice said.
"Ash, I'd like to know too," Niall followed.
The door flew open as I was on top of Ash with my tail in her face, trying to grab the gummy bears. I fell on the floor, the bag in my hands.
"I won!" I said, "Ha!" I stuck my tongue out at her then looked at Zayn.
"Why is the bathroom floor soaked?" he asked. But before I could answer his question, Niall shot another one.
"Why are Ash's lips blue?"
"Why is Ally covered in red spots?"
"What was this all about?"
I looked at Ash, who laughed back at me.
"I stole her bag of gummy bears, so she chased me here. The floor was already wet, but we didn't know. We transformed and used our powers to fight for them."
Niall gave us a funny look.
"All because of a stupid bag of gummy bears."
"No," I corrected, "All because of my stupid bag of gummy bears." I turned to Ash who looked freezing.
"Hand me a towel," I asked, "please."
She threw me one, then got one for herself. We dried off out in the hallway away from the water. We were back to normal, except for the fact that we were now wearing our bikinis instead of our normal clothes. It was normal for us.
"How does that happen?" Zayn asked. He gestured toward our swim suits that appeared out of nowhere.
"It's called the bikini effect," I explained," After we transform back, no matter what, there is always a bikini to replace our tails. It's just something that's happened forever, how are you just asking about it now?"
"Just wondering."

End of another boring chapter. I have a big idea in my head, but it takes forever to come to that point in the story.
I hope you guys like this book, I thought about deleting it a while ago, but decided not to.
