Niall's POV*

"Everything is coming along great. He should be able to leave right after we get the files uploaded," the doctor said smiling. I looked over at Zayn who was also grinning at us. He kept a happy smile until something suddenly crossed his mind.

"I will be able to go on tour, right?" he asked.

The doctor's grin sank as he started shaking his head.

"I don't know for sure, yet. I'll talk to Dr. Yemen about the matter."

"If he can't..." I tried to say, but the words were lost. Liam found them for me.

"If he can't, the tour is off. That's final," he said in his total control voice, though I could tell he was holding back tears.

"Hey," Harry butted in, "At least Zayn is all better. That's all that matters right now."

"Yeah, we'll do On The Road Again Tour another time if it doesn't work out," Louis said, joining in.

I nodded, but the tears were brimming slowly, until I burst out of the room, incapable of not having a melt down then and there. I ran through the hall, out the front doors, and into the cold crisp night air which stung my cheeks and my hands. I had left my jumper in the car, and Louis held the key, so my arms felt numb as I sat on a wooden bench just outside of the building, where I found peace and quiet for me to sniffle a few tears out.

The cars slowly passed by as I quickly thought of Allison. Pulling out my phone, I dialed her number and waited for her to pick up.

It rang five times before I gave up and sent her a text instead.

Hey. Zayn should be let out in a few. Where are you?

I didn't get a reply for a while as I sat watching the traffic light up ahead turn different colors.

"Oh my God, you're Niall Horan!" I heard a female voice scream from behind me. I stood up to see a girl with bright blond hair and another with blue, squealing loudly.

"Yeah, I guess I am," I said cheekily as they handed me two notebooks. I jotted down my signature and asked for their names.

"I'm Grace Portman," the blue haired girl said, shaking my hand.

"I'm Kendall Mass," the other said, following Grace in suit. I looked at her and another face appeared in my mind.

"Are you related to Kyle Mass up at the Marine Lab Corp., by any chance?" I asked the blond. She nodded.

"He's my older brother."

Ally's POV*

"I'll have a Coral Starfishino, hold the seahorse milk," I ordered after Beckett. The cashier handed me a few sand dollars as change and headed to the back to make my order. Beckett and I ended up placing ourselves on the soft seabed couch while we waited.

"So, is human life really as hard as you make it sound?" Beckett asked. I smiled.

"Sort of. I mean, everyone expects so much out of you while here nobody really cares what you do or how you do it. And everyone is a lot meaner on land. Especially the girls. Don't get me started on the girls," I explained. Beckett laughed and put one arm around my right shoulder.

"Are the girls hotter?"

"Beckett!" I said, laughing. He just shrugged innocently.

"What?" he asked. I shook my head.

"You should go up there. It's actually a lot better than you think. More freedom, more responsibility, more integrity."

"Sounds promising," Beckett said.

"It is. You know what?"

"What?" he replied, "Actually hold that thought."

A minute later, he came back with our orders.

"Continue," he said, raking a sip of his drink.

"You should go back with me. Just for a while. It would be so much fun. You could meet my new guardian, my best friends- You'll get along great with my boyfriend. Please come?"

"I don't know, Snip. I have my sister here and-"

"Okay. No, no, no- I get it. It's okay." I took a sip of my Starfishino, a small delicacy here, with a frown.

"I guess a week wouldn't hurt anyone," he said after a minute or two.

"Really?" I asked. He nodded and I smiled wider than before.

"You're gonna love it."

Niall's POV*

Zayn had made it back to his and Ally's flat without anything happening along the way. He smiled when he turned the key and opened the door wide, then frowned when he didn't see her anywhere.

"Ally?" He asked to nothing in particular.

"That's weird. Her car is out front where it was before we left," Harry said with a confused look, glancing at her neon orange Jeep parked out front.

"She has to be here. I told June to make sure she didn't go anywhere alone," Zayn implied, heading the the back rooms. He opened the door to their room and still didn't see the long brunette hair or green eyes of Allison anywhere.

"Ally?" He called out once more, before he turned to look at me.

"Where is she?"

"I don't know, Zayn..." I said quietly. He looked frustrated.

"Where. Did. She. Go?" He implied, a bit more forceful this time.

"I don't know! I'm sure she's safe, wherever she is."

"I hope so. In the meantime," Harry said throwing the subject off track, "Why don't we go get some lunch?"
