THAT NIGHT...
I had a dream;a nightmare. I was being caught, by fisherman, by scientists. They took me to a marine lab Corp. I screamed and tries to wiggle free of the tight net. No use.
Then, I woke up to Zayn. And, of course, that beautiful voice of his. He calms me down by singing my Favorite song...
Your hand fits in mine like it's made

and I'm joining up the dots
with the freckles on your cheeks
and it all makes sense to me
"Allison, do you love me more than a friend?"
Harry asked the exact same thing. I bit my lip and answered.
"Sure."
He crawled into my bed and lay right beside me. I am almost asleep when I hear him whisper, "Even though your a mermaid... I love you."
I smile through the night. I do to, Zayn. I do.
IN THE MORNING...
"GET UP SLEEPY HEADS!!" screams Louis, banging pots and pans.
I sit up straight and scream.
"Louis! Don't do that!" Zayn said.
"Sorry, just trying to get you up." Then, I remembered something. I'm turning 18!
"Guys?"
"Yes, love?" they respond.
"Today is a special day!"
"How come?"
Louis casually walks out of the room. He all ready knew anyway.
"It's my 18th birthday!" I said. He smiled his beautiful smile that would make girls melt.
"Happy birthday, Ally!" he says and gives me a hug.
"I have to show you something!" he said, "But first, put on this blindfold!"
He raps the blindfold around my eyes where I can't see anything.
"Can you see?" he asks. I shake my head and he grabs my arm. He leads me downstairs and takes the blindfold off.
"SUPRISE!!" everyone yells. (including Kevin)
I fight back the tears and sit down. Louis pops up and blows those noise makers in my face.
They bring out a beautiful blue cake with starfish and the ocean on it.
"Thanks guys! You guys are the best!" I say as I eat a piece.
Louis gets a big piece and stuffs his face into it.
"Present time!" Louis called out.
"You guys got me presents?" I ask. They give me confused looks.
"Of course we did! Don't you ever get gifts on your birthday?"
"We never celebrate birthdays at the orphanage."
They give me surprised looks and glares.
"I'll go get mine" Niall says, and they all head off to their rooms. Except for Zayn.
"So having a good birthday?" he asks. He plays with his fingers.
The boys come back with tons of presents.
"Wow! How much stuff did you guys get!" I ask, Niall shrugs.
"I don't know!" he said, laughing.
Liam got me a batman shoulder show shirt and a stuffed bear, Niall got me a phone case and headphones, Harry got me a plaid overlay shirt and an Mp3 player, and Louis got me a bra. Yes, a freaking bra.
"Thank you guys so much! This was the best!" I said.
"It's not over yet!" Zayn said as he sat down on the couch.
"I didn't give MY present yet."
He pulled out a Zales box. He opened it.
In that box, was a diamond ring!
"Ally, will you be my girlfriend?" he asked, in front of everybody. Instead of saying yes, I leaned over and kissed him, in front of everybody.
When he pulled away he smiled and held my hand. He took the ring and placed it on my ring finger.
"Zayn I- thank you, very, very much!" I say and hug him.
"It's a promise ring. It means that no matter where or what you are doing I will be there for you." He says.
"Wait a second Zayn, you can't date a 14 year old!" said Niall.
I sigh and wait for him to calm down just a bit. "I'm not-"
"Yes you are, Allison!"
"No, I'm not!"
"Then what do you mean?!" I let out a scream/sigh.
"Let me slow down for you, I'm. Not. 14!"
"Then how old are you?"
"I'm turning 18 today." I say, looking at the confused faces of Liam, Niall and Louis. I run to my room and shut the door.
I find the nearest pillow on my bed and scream into it.
Why did this happen to me?
If only... I could cover up these scales...
