Hey Everyone!

Well, it's been a while and I'm so sorry there hasn't been an update in years, but I was grounded (don't ask why... it's a long story) and I've been practicing for my TMEA All-Region Choir performance which WAS SATURDAY.

It was so amazing, except for the fact I was in Tyler at UT (Longhorns still suck... Aggies rule) for 11 hours. Yes, 11.

We sang the same three songs over and over and over until they were implanted in my brain- ugh! It was worth it though. Everyone sounded amazing and I wish you guys could have heard it- it was awesome. The harmonies, the chords- just, beautiful.

Anyway, that was my weekend. I hope to know how yours went.

So, here is the chapter.

I stood in front of a palm tree silently waving in the wind. The familiar smell of salt water quickly came to me as  looked around the empty shore and taking in the bright colors of the sunset before running to the water.

The water felt amazing on my feet, before I dived under and transformed. The water seemed clearer than when I left, which was good but it made me feel like I wasn't home. This is my home, if I like it or not. I grew up here, I will die here.

I found my way rather easily to Ivory, the town I grew up in. Only about a twenty minute swim from the shore. It all looks the same, except for the palace. Not in total ruins, but the palace seemed gloomier than before.

"Snip?" I heard a random voice say behind me. It was a man's voice, so in my mind the first thing that popped into my mind was, Zayn! But I knew it couldn't have been.

I looked back at the man who had called my old nickname and swam up to him.

"Beckett?" I asked, recognizing my old best friend. He shook his head and I gave him a hug.

"I knew you'd come back, Snip," he said, using his old nickname for me. It was a long story on how I got it, but he never used my real name. Only Snip.

"Yeah, being a human for a while is hard. There's so much that's happened. I met five great guys and five amazing girls, one happens to be my guardian and another my boyfriend. It's been really rough."

He looked at me with a sort of sadness in his eyes.

"Oh," he said, looking down, "A boyfriend. I mean, why wouldn't you have one? You're amazing."

I looked confused, for he never really showed that much caring for me as something other than a friend. He must have noticed my confusion and added, "You're amazing. When you aren't annoying."

Then he grabbed my waist, messing up my hair while I laughed at his strangeness.

"Same old Beckett," I said when we settled down.

"I've grown up since then," he defended himself. "I'm not entirely that dorky anymore. I mean, now that I've gotten over you-"

"What?" I asked. He stopped.

"I used to have a huge kid's crush on you, Snip. It was stupid, I'm sorry."

"No- no, it's okay. You don't have to apologize. It was a long time ago."

Silence fell over us as the current swept past my ear, sending a warm tingle down my back. It was warmer in the water, which felt nice.

Sorry, short chapter.

I ran out of ideas but, hopefully I can get one by the next update.

I'm going to start a new update schedule so you know which days I will be updating.

Starting every Thursday and some Sundays, I will update (Unless I get grounded or something comes up.)

So, there it is.
