Delta slowly opened her eyes as she looked around. No one noticed she was awake yet. She saw that the others were talking but they were out of ear shot, so she couldn't hear them. She tried to push herself up from laying down, key word is tried. She groaned in pain from putting weight on her forearm, alerting the others of her consciousness. They all ran over to her and immediately started talk all at once that she had no idea what they were saying.
"Guys?" Delta asked but they didn't seem to hear her. "Guys!" She said a little louder. Delta rolled her eyes. "GUYS!" They all immediately shut up and looked at her. "Thank you. Now one at a time."
"What the hell were you thinking?!" They all shouted at the same time.
Delta looked down feeling guilty. "I had to make you guys stop some how. I didn't want you to hurt each other."
"So you decided to hurt yourself?" Piper asked softly, knowing she was already feeling bad and didn't want her to feel worse.
"It worked didn't it," Delta pointed out as she still looked at the ground.
"You could've killed yourself Delta," Annabeth told her. Delta heard the crack in her voice causing her to look at her, and saw the tears threatening to spill.
"I'm sorry, it was all I could think of," Delta apologized.
"I was so scared," Annabeth continued. "We all were. You're heart stopped beating, Delta. Do you understand that? It stopped. I was so scared that I wouldn't be able to get it to start again." Tears fell from Annabeth's eyes. "You're like the little sister I've always wanted. I can't lose you. Please don't do that again."
"I won't I promise," Delta swore as she hugged Annabeth tight feeling her own tear start to fall. They hugged for a good minute before finally pulling away.
Annabeth kissed her forehead, "I love you, okay?"
Delta nodded. "I love you too." They started to hug again.
"Family hug!" Percy shouted and they all started to join in. However, Alex did not.
"Alex join the hug," Leo invited.
"I don't know," Alex hesitated.
"Come on Alex please," Delta begged. "For me?" Alex rolled his eyes but reluctantly agreed. They all hugged, accepting each other's silent apologies for everything that transpired.
