After hours of searching they came across an entrance that lead underground. "It's the tombs," Leo stared the obvious.
"Way to go captain obvious, would you like to be promoted to general?" Piper asked sarcastically.
"I would actually," Leo replied as he put his hands on his hips. "Could you make it Admiral though? I can see it now. Admiral Leo."
"Could you guys shut up," Alex told them.
"Come on let's go," Percy said as he took a step forward.
"Percy wait," Annabeth stopped him dead in his tracks. "What about Delta? What if she's still out?"
"Knowing Delta, shes probably down there," Percy countered. "Now let's go help her, get the stone, and go home." Annabeth agreed reluctantly and they all headed down. It was really dark and they couldn't see anything.
"Leo make a fire so we can see," Piper told him.
"Oh that's right I can do that," Leo remembered. Her quickly lit a fire in the palm of his hands illuminating the tombs. When they could see they kind of wished they couldn't again. There were cob webs, bats hanging from the ceiling, and skeletons laying about. They ignored it and continued walking down the long hallway. Eventually they reached some stairs going downwards. They cautiously descended and reached a room.
They were three status in a half circle facing them. It was Zeus, Poseidon, then Hades. Their arms were straight and their hands were out as if offering something. Made of stone in the center of the circle was a small pool. Above it was an opening to the surface.
"Woah," was all Percy could say. It was a bit dusty but not too mush as if it was cleaned only days ago.
"Okay we found the tombs, so where's the stone," Alex asked.
Leo giggled. "That rhymed." Alex glared at him and he shut up.
"More importantly, where's Delta?" Annabeth asked not seeing her in the medium square sized room.
"Don't worry Annabeth, I'm sure she's fine," Jason tried to assure her. "Now let's figure out this prophecy.
Hermes son can stop him though,
As two brothers fight in the glow,
When the clock resets you will know,
Athena's daughter in the tombs.Got anything Annabeth?"
Annabeth shook her head sadly. "It makes no sense. I just- UGH!"
Percy yawned as he checked his watch. "Guys it's midnight I think we should get some rest and regroup in the morning."
That's when it finally clicked for Annabeth. "That's it!" Everyone looked at her confused. "When the clock resets, it means midnight. The clocks reset for a new day. Which means I'm the glow means dawn. At dawn the stone will appear and Alex has to fight Jack." Everyone looked her finally understanding.
"Thanks for the info," they heard a new voice say. Jack came out from behind Hades statue. "I would've never guessed." Everyone immediately drew their weapon. "Woah there," Jack said as he held his hands up in surrender. "If you kill me you'll never find Delta."
Percy ran to Jack and pinned him against the wall. "Where's my sister?!"
"In the woods south of here," Jack answered. "You might wanna hurry though. You say it's midnight? It's been a few quite some time then, any minute she'll-" Jack was cut off by an explosion. "and there she is. You're too late." Everyone's eyes went wide as they rushed out of the tombs going to the explosion totally forgetting about Jack. Delta had to be alive. She had to be.
NEW UPDATE. Hope y'all enjoyed. Is Delta dead? Is she alive? Stay tuned. Man I love writing cliff hangers. PEACE!
