The group was running through the woods in search of Delta. They were having no luck. They stopped to catch their breath. "We need a break you guys," Leo told Alex, Annabeth, and Percy.
"No!" The three of them said together. They were determined to find Delta as they were blaming themselves for her running off.
"Guys, I understand that you want to find her. I do too, but we're not any good to her exhausted," Piper reasoned. "We take a ten minute break, drink some water, then we'll go again. Okay?" The three nodded, but to be fair Piper was using some of her charm speak.
"Oh thank god!" Jason exclaimed as he collapsed on the floor. Everyone sat down either on the floor or on a log making a deformed circle. Annabeth pulled out water bottles from her backpack and passed them around. Everyone almost finished it realizing how thirsty they were. Being able to feel the cool water go down their parched throat was the best feeling to them at the moment.
After ten minutes of breaking they all stood up and continued searching. They were calling her name but heard no reply. Delta could here them though, and was tortured hearing their calls go further and further away.
Short filler chapter, but what can I say? You can't expect me to jump right into the action, now can you? Don't worry though more stuff happens in the next chapter. Hope you enjoyed and PEACE!
