Spirits---- Elemental stones

A dog in the dorm

The rest of the day was mostly spent looking around the school with their tour guide Alex, he even showed them the hidden entrance to the kitchens. Which was through a wall with a large painted apple tree on it. The scale of the school was immense and the twins doubted they would ever learn they're way around. Alex did assure them that he was a really forgetful person and he still found his way.

"So... do you have an idea on what Spirit you might be?" Alex asked them whilst they were having pudding at dinner.

"Well yeah actually, me and sparky can both breath under water, so we guessed a water spirit if that's a thing" Amy said.

"Yeah It sure is and it's really cool too, you don't often find elemental spirits, let alone twins"

"What Spirit are you?" Percy asked, his mouth full of apple crumble and Amy gave him a disgusted look.

"I'm a weather spirit, can make it rain, snow or very windy and the likes" Alex shrugged.

"Cool" Percy finished up his last spoonful of crumble.

"Where are you guys sleeping tonight?"

"Oh in the hospital ward" Amy answered.

"Ehh it's not too bad in there" he smiled.

"Have you been in their often?" Asked Percy, who was worried what kind of dangerous activities they would be doing.

"Nah, only once cos a nuero pup had bitten me, but nothing else" he laughed at their wide eyes, "you've probably never seen one"

"No, sounds cool though,Umm..."

Amy followed Alex's gaze as a tall dark skinned boy, who was fairly muscly and a girl with short, frizzy mousy brown hair and green eyes walked up to them.

"Hey Tommy! Alice!" Alex hugged both in turn, "You're back early"

"Yeah thought we'd come before the rush... who have we got here?" Tommy smiled at the twins.

"Oh I'm Amy and this is Percy, we've just moved from France" she shook their hands awkwardly, feeling like it was too much of a formal gesture.

"Well welcome to Rovesier, I expect Alex has given you the grand tour" said Alice.

"Yeah he's been really helpful, though I don't expect I'll remember the way though" Percy nervously laughed.

"Well, we're going to go to bed, big day tomorrow" Amy found it quite awkward, and thought it was best they get out of the situation.

"Yeah best be going, thanks for today though Alex and nice meeting you Tommy and Alice"

The twins quickly made their way out of the hall.

All the curtains had been shut in the hospital ward and the only light source came from the dim  glow of bedside lamps. Pyjamas had been laid down nearly at the end of the beds they were using. Amy laughed as she picked up the unicorn print set.

"Wow they have weird tastes  in clothing here" Amy pulled a curtain round so she could get changed in privacy.

"Though it is a-bit cooler seeing as these animals are actually real and and not a kids story" Percy pulled round his curtains but frowned when he saw it was missing one, so trudged down the ward to get another one.

It was light when the two woke up again, the ward curtains pulled back again and the sunrise streaming through the window. Neither moved, wondering if the other was awake, but Amy finally got up to look at the clock in the bedside table.

"It's 7:30 Percy"

Percy sighed and got out from under the covers, stretching out his arms before rubbing the sleepy from his eyes.

"I see you two are up" Mrs Volira walked into the ward, "Miss flint is ready in the main hall when you are ready... you finally get to know what house you are in"

"Cool, we won't be too long" Amy tried not to sound sleepy.

"Oh no rush, no rush" she bustled out clearly in a rush herself.

Once dressed the two made their way into the main hall, which had been completely cleared and only a small grey desk with a small grey haired lady stood in it. They both cautiously walked up to the desk, as Miss flint stared them down the whole way making them feel very uneasy.

"Place your hand on the scanner" she said in a rasping voice when Amy approached the desk.

Amy placed her trembling hand on the blue screened scanner, not a moment later, in a low robot voice the machine said 'Rivinell'.

"Into life one then" 

Amy hadn't noticed the lifts at first but there were indeed four lifts at the back of the hall. She looked back at Percy worriedly as she made her way to the lift labelled with a one. Before she could wave or mouth 'see you' to Percy, she teleported to a lounge area filled with blue couches and beanbags. A low fire glowed in the hearth, unattended since the night before and some board games had been strewn across the carpet. There was no one else there so she had no idea what she was meant to do, so nervously she sat herself down on one of the couches.

After a few moments of watching her fingers tap along the table she heard a faint pop and Percy had appeared, blinking in surprise, where she had stood.

"Percy, I was worried you weren't going to be in the same house as me!" She ran up and hugged him.

"Me too! I was so nervous"

"I have no idea what I'm meant to do though" Amy slumped back down in the sofa.

"Yeah, I thought we would get more of a welcome" Percy sighed.

They sat in silence, Amy going back to her table tapping. It was a while before they heard the faint tip-tap of shoes against the stone stairs at the back of the room. A tall blonde haired girl, who looked about fifteen appeared, shuffling through some papers as she walked and jumped when she saw the twins standing in the room.

"You two are early" she looked down at her watch, " it'll be another hour at least before the rest come, might as well give you the talk now" she came and perched herself on the sofa arm, "I'm Melissa, your house prefect, so if you have any questions on how things work here just ask me, so there are some rules... no weapons in the house room, no wandering after 10pm in winter and 11pm in summer...Er...and make sure you are on time for lessons or you will get a detention"

"What's a detention?" Having gone to a French Primary school, Amy hadn't heard the term.

"It's just a period of time, usually an hour, where you have to sit in silence or do homework... anyway names please"

"Percy and Amy" Percy said.

"Blimey there are alot of first years this year..." Melissa looked through her pieces of paper," ah! Ok you're both together on floor 2, room 12, so second doorway up the stairs"

"Cool thanks" Amy jumped up off the sofa"

"Oh one more thing, there will be a meeting down here at eight"

"Ok got it" Amy smiled at the prefect before rushing up the stairs behind Percy.

They climbed up the spiral staircase until they got to floor two. It look like a normal dormitory corridor; long with lots of doors along it. Number 12 was in the corner where the corridor turned to an even longer one.

"This is it" Percy pushed against the door excitedly as he couldn't wait to find out what it looked like. However the dorm wasn't empty.

"What is it?" Amy tried to peer round Percy as he gasped.

"There's a dog" he said in disbelief

"Not just any dog"
