Song of the day: Caraphernelia- Pierce The Veil

I pulled up in my driveway and breathed a sigh of relief once I realized my mother wasn't home. I walked in my house and put my stuff down on my dining room table. I sat down on my couch ready to take a much needed nap but was rudely interrupted when my doorbell rang.

I groaned loudly and went to answer the door. I swung it open and almost puked at the sight in front of me. Oliver. I swear he loves showing up spontaneously just to annoy me. He lives across the street so he can literally just show up.

"The fuck do you want?" I spat at him. He chuckled and brushed past me and into my house. I rolled my eyes and closed my door. "Have you forgotten about our project?" Oh right. I was paired with this piece of shit in our history class. We have to do a presentation on the history of Christmas and how others celebrated it.

I shufflled back over to my couch and laid down. I closed my eyes and tried my hardest to forget Oliver was here. I was so used to him coming in my house that I just stoppped kicking him out. There was no use.

He came over and shook my shoulder. "Get up dipshit. We have to do this project." I swatted his hand away. "Don't fucking touch me." I mumbled. I sat up and grabbed my laptop. We both sat criss cross and began doing research.

Soon after, we decided to continue the rest tomorrow. Tomorrow was Saturday so we had all day to do it. I got up from the floor and grabbed my phone. "I'm gonna text the group to come over." I told him.

We all decided that my house was the hang out spot since me and Oliver live so close. I opened our group chat and sent a message.

Ronnie to Group: Guys me and Oliver are done our research for the day. Come over.

I closed my phone and made my way back over to the couch. Oli was spread out on my other couch. "Are they coming?" He mumbled. "Of course they are. Why wouldn't they?" I mumbled back. He laughed lightly.

"Ya know, we've known each other for a long time. Why do you hate me?" He asked with a smile. I scoffed. Is he serious? "Because you're annoying. And I hate annoying people."

He sat up and looked at me. "Have you ever stopped to think why I annoy you so much out of everyone else?" I shrugged. "Maybe cause you're a dick?" He chuckled lightly and went to my kitchen to get a drink.

What the fuck is his problem? I've never liked him. Not when we were 5, not when we were 10, and certainly not now. He just pushes my buttons and gets under my skin. It's infuriating.

Then my doorbell rang. "What's up wankers!" I heard Oliver shout. One by one, our group came in my house. Maya made her way over to me. She had a hurt look on her face.

"What's up Maya?" I asked patting the seat next to me. She sat down and glanced at Oliver. I sighed and understood why she was upset. I ran my fingers through my hair.

"Look, Maya, please don't be mad at me because Mr. Brenner put me and Oliver together. I told him I wanted a new partner but he didn't care. I'm sorry." Maya sighed and looked at me. She gave me a sad smile.

"I'm not mad at you, Ronnie. Really I'm not. I just wish he was my partner, ya know?" She glanced back over at Oliver who was talking to Hannah. I let out a big sigh. I stood up and went over to my kitchen.

Soon after, I heard someone else come in. It was no other than.. Oliver. He was the last person I wanted to see. "What?" I grumbled. "What's wrong with Maya?" He questioned. I poured myself a glass of water.

"And you're asking me because?" He shrugged his shoulders. "You're her best friend." I turned around so I was facing him. "If you're so concerned with Maya, then go ask her. Unless you're scared cause you like her." I teased.
