Chapter 47- Talk To Me.

The bottle of BL pills sit on the main table. They found it early this morning, whilst searching me for cameras or microphones. Rude.

"Why do you have these?" MK asks, whilst testing my blood.

I write "So I can be in control."

He replies, "BL are in control when you take these, not you."

I run my tongue over my teeth.

"We will help you get in control. I discovered this thing the other day. Its called sign language and you dont have to speak to talk it. We can all learn so we can talk to you without paper?"

I smile and nod, that would be good.

We all spend the rest of the day learning basic sign language. Kobra has a book about it. It isnt too hard to learn but is hard to maintain in your head. Many times I accidentally called Party a whore or Jet a banana. It was funny, actually.

At dinner I sit practice talking with my hands, making shapes and gestures. I barely eat because Im too fascinated with my hands.

"Jade? The remaining Killjoys want to know how you are? And... As soon as you are better we need to finish this off. Finish BL." Party tells me.

/I cant speak/ I sign.

"We will speak for you, just sign what you want to say."

I nod.

I go up to the roof by myself, doubting that anyone heard me. I want to scream across the desert, but I cant. Dr Ds den is in sight, and I cant really talk.

"Didnt forget about me, did you?" Gee seems to just know when Im going to be here.

I turn around and sit down, facing him. He copies me.

"Are you okay?" He asks, seemingly stressed.

/Im a bit shaken. You?/

He puts his hand on my leg. My hairs stand on end. I take his hand and put it on my back, turning it into a hug. I hold onto him tight and I breathe with him, in perfect timing. His hugs are great. I look up at him and I pinpoint where he is looking, down the slope of my nose. He presses his lips together. Theres something in his eyes.

"This sounds weird but... I dont know what I would have done if you were killed. I mean, you are so beautiful and I cant help but want to love you. I always let you win the wrestling fights so that you could pin me down, but I keep it going long enough that I can watch you lose the thoughts in your head. Even for just a moment. I love watching you get lost in your thoughts and escape from reality. That is why every time you look at me, I am already looking at you. You are beautiful to look at. When I smell your perfume I fall in love again and when I look in your eyes I swear I see a new colour each time. Ive been sure for a while, I really do love you. Is that not strange?"

My mouth drops, how do I reply to that?

"I got the confidence to tell you, knowing you wouldnt be able to stop me and-"

I know how to shut him up. I move from his chest up to his lips, pressing mine on his. Im not sure how its meant to go but I think I do it right because seems shocked. His lips are soft, yet rough and chapped from nerves. I recognise the feeling Em told me about, like an explosion. It only lasts a moment, but when I leave his lips I want more. He lets a little gasp leave his lips.

/I can shut you up even if I cant talk/

He looks like he could devour my very soul at any moment.

I look out at the sun rising over the desert. I think about what Ef told me about kissing. He said something like; Its really great, you will like it a lot.

"So, today we are going into battery city?" MK asks.

Gee is in a sort of daze.

"I think so." Ef says.

I click my fingers in Gees face and he snaps out of his daze with a smirk.

"Lets go?"

We all climb into the car and Ar is driving as we ride to Battery City.

"You know Gee is head over heels for you?" Ef laughs at me.

I smile at my lap.

/last night he told me/

"Have you kissed?" He whispers at me.

I cant help but blush.

"Was it good?"

/hey!/

"So it was?"

I send him a desperate look, its taboo.

"Okay, fine. But you gotta admit its good!"
