Your POV

I was leaning against the cold brick wall whilst continuously dying on endless lake on my phone. I gave up on the tenth run and pushed my phone in my back pocket of my pants to then hear the bell ring.

Many elementary kids sprinting out the building to get to their parents, giving them hugs and kisses before walking away from the school. I wonder if Alice and Jace have ever wanted to get picked up by parents instead of me. I know they appreciate me but I feel like I could never bring the best in them because of those immature human beings that were so called out biological parents.

I looked around and my two siblings were hand in hand frantically moving their small heads left to right to find me.

"Jace! Alice!" I yelled and waved my hand. The two simultaneously looked at me and ran together towards me. I kneeled to their height to give them a crushing hug like I did every day.

"Alright let's go guys." I held Jace with my right hand and Alice in the other to my car. I got a second hand car when I started my job at the café because my boss found out that I didn't have a car to drive myself to school so he gave it to me for free. He's an incredible person.

When we got in the car, I drove us back to our apartment which was relatively small but we worked with that we had. I'm saving up for a better apartment or maybe put Jace in a basketball team since he was pretty good for his age. As for Alice, she was a quick learner and was interested in me teaching her how to play instruments.

I opened the door to our apartment and the two dropped their bags to run all the way to the lounge room to turn on the TV to watch Arthur. I grabbed their bags and walked to their room to place them next to their bunk bed. I went to the kitchen and heated up some left over chicken nuggets for Alice and Jace but they were already in the eating table waiting patiently for food.

I ruffled their heads and they groaned, moving their hair back to its original position. I laughed at their whining and microwaved the food before pouring three glass of juice for us to drink. Just as the time on the microwave goes to one, I stop the microwave and place the plate of nuggets for us to eat.

"Hey guys do you want to go over to my friend's house tonight?" The two mouth filled with nuggets looked up with the 'you have friends' look making me roll my eyes, "Yes guys I have friends. They invited us to go for dinner which is a barbecue."

I took two tissues out of a box and wiped their faces after I put the plate in the sink. They were still in their seats because they were chugging their juice as I rinsed off the plate.

"Oh yeah, there's a kids around your age there." I heard someone stop drinking their juice and made me smirk, "Oops how could I forget, there's a pool."

"I want to go!" The two cheered beside me as they handed me their empty cups. I nod and put them in the sink. The two darted off to their rooms and shook my head with a smile.

"If you want to swim the moment we get there wear your swimmers underneath a jacket and pants!" I yell and hear two okay's as I finished off my drink to wash off the cups. When I was done, I wiped my hands off with a towel and fished out for my phone to message Camila.

[3:30pm] Y/N: Hey Camila

[3:30pm] Y/N: I asked my siblings and they agreed to come along

[3:30pm] Camila: That's great

[3:30pm] Camila: I'll tell her

[3:30pm] Y/N: Wait who's this?

[3:30pm] Camila: Oh my bad, it's Lauren

[3:31pm] Y/N: Oh hi Lauren

[3:31pm] Y/N: What time should I come over?

[3:31pm] Camila: Around 4

[3:31pm] Y/N: Alright see you later

I walked to my room and found my red swimming suit. I changed into it to then put on comfy jumper and pants before a crying Alice barged into my room. I opened up my arms and she jumped right into them to snuggle into my shoulder. Alice is really sensitive child which was really hard to deal in the beginning but I eventually learnt how to calm her down fast.

"What's wrong Ali? Did someone say something mean to you?" I felt her shaker her head and I leaned over to my bedside to reach for a tissue but then we end up falling on my side. We start giggling and I pushed us up onto my bottom.

"When is mummy and daddy coming home?" I sigh and look at the ceiling. No matter how many times I've swerved around the real answer to Alice about them, she would constantly ask for them even though Jace knew himself that our parents had disowned us.

"Our parents are not coming back. They don't want us anymore Ali ..." I whispered in softly, scared of her reaction. Ali's eyes were brimming with tears yet took no effort in wiping them away.

"Why Y/N/N? Did I make mummy and daddy mad at me? Did I do something wrong?" I was now tearing up but I held them back to console my sister.

"No Ali. Mum and dad don't like each other anymore and they don't want anything to do with us." I wiped her tears and passed her a tissue for her to blow her nose in. "It's not your fault Ali, it's their fault. I'm here to look after you and Jace now. They don't want to look after us anymore. Do you understand?"

Alice nod her head but continued to sob on my shoulder and I heard the door opening to Jace who looked very upset. I motioned him with my free hand and he came over and hugged into my side. Jace wasn't crying but I could tell he was refraining himself from tearing up. Sure Jace was two years older than Alice but they were still kids and no kid should ever go through this kind of life.

As the room is finally fell silent and all we could hear was our deep breathing, I got up to bring the three of us to the toilet to wash our faces. Once that was done I helped pack a towel for the three of us in a bag and we walked out of our apartment to the car. Unlocking the car doors, the two sat in the back with no words to say so I turned my head to talk to them before I drove them to Camila's house.

"I know I'm not mum and dad but I promise as your big sister that I will bring you two up into amazing adults." They smiled and nodded at my statement giving me some reassurance that I was capable enough to take care of Jace and Alice.

I'm so bad at updating chapter's on time besides Mystique who is really good at uploading a chapter exactly one week after I put up a chapter.

I'm so hungry but it's literally 20 minutes till I have to go bed. Craving for chicken nuggets for some reason.
