Chapter Seventeen

Dinah's POV

"After Ally dropped the bombshell asking me if I liked her, I swear on my life that it was a dream of something. Then right after she explained when she started to have feelings for me, I told her how I felt for her too but then I couldn't finish because Y/N made me bite my tongue." I furrowed my brows and gave her a weird look.

"How is that even possible?" I said with confusion as I kicked my legs in the water to stay afloat.

"She dropped a book on my head to shut my rambling and even though Y/N was rather straightforward to me to tell Ally that I like her. So you know the saying 'Actions speak louder than words'? I built some courage to pull Ally into a kiss."

"Wow! Not only did you get the news that your crush likes you but you also kissed her too?! I'm jealous!" Camila exaggerated in happiness and flailed her arms around.

"You better believe it Camz. After Y/N reminded us that she was still there, we stopped kissing and I asked her out, obviously saying yes."

Camila and I awed at Lauren and swam to her for a hug. Lauren wasn't the type who initiated things so it was rather brave of her asking Ally out. My friend is growing up. Cue the tears.

"A-air. Need. Air." We both retracted from Lauren and she took deep breaths to get her breath back. We could hear the doorbell ring and Camila had to get out of the pool to open the door since Sinu yelled her to open it from the kitchen.

"So ... how do you feel about Y/N?" Lauren nudged me with a smirk. As much as I didn't want to submit into answering her, I think just by my facial expression gave it away.

"As much as she a mystery to me right now, I really do think her intentions as a person is very kind hearted even if she dropped a book on my tongue." Lauren pouted and stuck her tongue out for me to see her suppose damage to her tongue, "If it wasn't for her, Alren wouldn't be a thing until one of us had the guts to say anything which would've been till in the far future."

I laughed and agreed with her last statement with no hesitation.

"Something about Y/N makes me want to know everything about her. She's the one mystery I'm willing to figure out even if it takes me years." I hadn't realised how cheesy that sound until I replayed the words in my mind over again.

"Aw DJ has a crush!" Lauren yelled and danced around me. I rolled my eyes and pushed her away from me as she kept on chanting those words around me. Though the real question was if Y/N was going to reciprocate to my feelings.

"Please Camila has it worst! You should've seen her and Normani in gym class today when we were playing dodge ball." I scoffed and rolled my eyes. I started to smile just as I remember what happened at school.

"Oh do spill the tea." Lauren pretended to sip on a cup of tea making me laugh at her antics.

"These guys in class were eyeing Camila and Normani whilst speaking rather loudly. I swear the moment the guy said 'Damn I'd hit that instantly. That booty is fine as hell', the girls transformed into an animal or something because they were growling in anger. The funnier part is that they both retrieved a dodge ball each and propelled the ball to their faces within seconds."

We both laughed at how protective the two were for each other but I think that was goals. I would do the exact thing if someone was checking out my crush. Talking about Y/N, I wonder if she was going to come over soon.

"Hey Lolo, your girl is here." Lauren immediately whipped her head to Camila's direction where Ally was present. She got out of the pool to greet Ally as I took notice of Camila scanning Normani.

It felt like I wasn't supposed to see what was happening between Normila but seeing Alren awkwardly find a way to hug was the most embarrassing thing as an objective third party observer. I couldn't help but giggle at their interaction as Lauren finally decided to give Ally a kiss on the cheek before Ally had taken off her clothes to be in her bathing suit to finally embrace each other.

The couple hand in hand came into the pool together. They are cute and all but now I'm like the third wheeler for two pairs of ships. Damn it.

"When is the big date girls?" Lauren threw me the 'I am going to kill you' look but faded when Ally whispered something in Lauren's ear that made her grin.

"Either somewhere within this coming weekend. Is that alright with you babe?" Lauren pulled Ally to her chest which the smaller girl nodded. I probably looked like a crazy person as I was fangirling over the fact my best friend called Ally babe.

"Normila keep it PG. There's a kid within this perimeter." I turned around from the girls to see Y/N covering a little boy with her hands. Y/N's mouth stretching to one side of her face to the other was in response to the position Normani and Camila were in.

"Hi Y/N. Is this your little brother?" Camila coughed out and smiled at the little boy who I suppose is Jace.

"Yeah this is Jace and my younger sister is with your little sister." Y/N ruffled Jace's hair and groaned in irritation. Jace threw his hands up to block off any more damage Y/N could do to his hair but it was too late.

"Hey Acey." Normani spoke out and Jace disregarded his hair and gave her a hug. When they released each other, he was moving his head around like he was looking for something. "Ally! Jace is here."

Ally peaked her head from Lauren and instantly swam out of the pool to get to Jace.

"Jace!" Ally who was going for a hug but was stopped by Y/N who helped Jace take off him clothes so that it wouldn't get wet when they hugged. "I missed you buddy. Where's Alice?"

When she asked about his younger sister, Alice appeared with Sofi, Seth and Regina in their swimmers behind Y/N. Wow, Alice looks like a mini version of Y/N. So cute!

"Ally!" Alice yelled and gave her a bear hug. Normani cleared her throat and mini version of Y/N looked at her with wide eyes. "Mani!"

Alice was pulled away by Sofi and they decided to cannonball in the pool near me just to annoy me. I pretended to get offended as I wiped the water off my face and started to chase them. When I caught the two in my arms, I tickled their sides and they thrashed more water on my face.

"Y/N/N! Save us!" Alice laughed. I heard a splash beside me and I had freed the kids from my grasp as I soaked in Y/N's body and that red bikini.

Not only did her breast look so well proportioned, she had visible ab lines that could cut a bitch. I didn't care if I was drooling over her at this moment because the girl served me a better visual than my imagination. I had never thought that she's look so damn sexy and beautiful at the same time.

"I know I'm not much of a looker." Y/N confesses as she rubs the back of her neck. I disagreed with her so much that I swam over to her and grabbed her hands under water to get her attention.

"Y/N are you kidding me? You're so beautiful. Don't doubt yourself." She smiles and looks down to avoid eye contact. Wow where did confident Y/N go?

"If anyone is beautiful, it's got to be you." Even with her not being her usual self when she speaks, she still can get me to turn into a tomato. "But I'm sure you imagined something way better than what you see."

"You look nothing like what I imagine," Her face fell but I hadn't even finish my sentence, "only because I was wondering if you were going to show up today. Believe me when I say this babe that you've exceeded my expectations."

She looked at me in the eyes and nodded. I don't know why she thinks she's not a prepossessing sight but it was going to be my goal to make her feel beautiful in her own skin and accept it.
