There is two things I hate in this world right now.

1. School homework

2. Fifth Harmony's management aka Epic Records can get slammed by an elephant for cancelling all of the Australian PSA Tours. The girls need some damn justice because Epic aren't serving these girls with any opportunities. I'm anything but joyful 😒

Dinah's POV

"Let's bring the drinks back to the girls before they try to embarrass us for staying in the kitchen for too long." Y/N pulls away from the hug and I nod as I help Y/N bring the other drinks to the lounge room. We place the drinks on the table in front of everyone and the girls took a cup and took a few sips before looking at Y/N.

"Weren't you supposed to be at work today?" Normani spoke as she placed her cup back down on the table. Y/N sighed harshly and nodded her head.

"Yeah but something showed up at work and my boss allowed me to come back." I rubbed Y/N's back in comfort and cuddled to her side.

"Are you alright?" I whispered in her ear and I felt her shake her head. I look down and see that her eyes are slightly teary. "You want to talk about it?"

"Hey guys you want to play with the Wii U in my room?" Y/n turned to her siblings who hadn't given a verbal response but them running off out of the room was enough of an answer.

"Did you see an ex?"

"Or was it someone you hate?"

Normani and Ally slapped my best friend on the arm which the two muttered something under their breaths.

"Y/N doesn't have any exs in general, unless there's something you want to tell us." Normani squinted at Y/N but Y/N had instantly shook her head with her hand ups.

"And Y/N doesn't hold any hatred on anyone, right?" That seemed to have struck something in Y/N because I felt her slightly tense in my arms. I think Ally caught on and pressed further, "Who did you see Y/N?"

She grumbled with hesitance but eventually she said it was loud enough for us to hear. "My parents."

"Wait you're parents? Didn't they separate and go on their own way?"

"Trust me when I saw them sharing a table, I couldn't believe it how civil they were towards each other. Like months ago they were trying to rip each other's heads off and cursing every swear word there was if they were a few feet from each other."

"What exactly happened?" Ally scooted closer to Y/N out of Lauren's arms and consoled her best friend.

"It was just a normal day at work when I was serving regular customers and then I was called to another table. Then I come across the two in front of me, it took me everything in me not to start a commotion in the shop but I remembered that Jace and Alice were only a few tables away so I stayed emotionless when asking what they wanted to eat. Not only were the trying to make a conversation with me they had the audacity to 'ask some time with our daughter'. After I gave them a remark in response of them losing that privilege when they abandoned the three of us, I told my co-worker to take their table and dragged Alice and Jace out of the café without them knowing our parents were in our presence."

Everyone in the room could see how hard Y/N was fuming and they really didn't know what to say to Y/N since it looked like she was on the verge on snapping at anything and everything.

"What if they changed and asked to be there for the three of you guys?" I broke the silence and Y/N turned her attention to me. I was slightly afraid she might blow up and get angry but her face lightened up a bit.

"Honestly it will take them everything to prove that they won't just leave the three of us when things get hard again. I don't have myself to care about after all. If they really care, they have to give their attention to Jace and Alice. Only yesterday Alice asked when our parents would come back and she thought it was her fault."

"What did you tell Alice?" Camila spoke up and drank the water from Normani's cup.

"I straight up told her the truth, the painful truth of our parents not liking each other anymore and they don't want anything to do with us. Then Jace heard me say that too and he didn't take it too well either but he's too mature for his age to know not to cry over things that out of our control." Y/N's eyes went up to the ceiling and held her breath. My poor baby.

I tightened Y/N in my embrace and hushed her to calm her down as her fists were clenched to the point of pale while. Ally unravelled Y/N's fists and we heard a pair of footsteps getting louder towards the room.

"Y/N/N! We can't beat Bowser!" Jace and Alice whined as they dog piled on their elder sister. "Bowser is too strong!"

"Alright alright, let's go defeat Bowser together." She stood up from the couch and pointed in the direction of where Jace and Alice, "TO THE ROOM!"

"TO THE ROOM!" the two chimed in sync and ran off. Y/N slightly giggled at their actions and turned back to the rest of us. I found really cute how she was so childish like with her brother and sister but she's been so selfless to keep her siblings away from any situation that has to do with their parents.

"Even if I don't have control over my parents, my entire intention for Alice and Jace is for them to live a memorable childhood. Whether it is with or without my parents so I've got to make the most for them and I know this might be too much to ask but would you girls help me fulfil my wish for them?"

"Of course we will Y/N." Ally and Normani stood up and grabbed Y/N to be squished between the two like a sandwich.

Lauren, Camila and I followed up with more hugs and Y/N smiled with the most genuine expression that all the girls and I have ever seen. Seeing the slight wrinkles made under her eyes was something we never saw and it was going to my life mission to make her smile like that as long as I live.
