Y/N's POV

After that night of telling all the girls I was planning to donate my kidney to my mum, everything had changed. It wasn't that the girls were personally mad at me but it was just how they were treating me differently.

Half of the girls; Normani, Camila and Ally were at times giving me the cold shoulder and I guess I understand because the amount of times they've tried to convince me out of the operation had done nothing to waver my final decision. It made me sad that my own two best friends weren't talking to me due to this choice but I know they still care for me.

Though, I can't just let my mum slowly die.

As for Dinah and Lauren, they were indifferent to the news and still support me. Sometimes I can see in their eyes that they wished they was another way without me putting myself in surgery. However, they constantly reassure me that they will be there for every step of the way.

Currently it was the weekend and Dinah and I just came from Lauren's house to help her calm her nerves for the date she was going on with Ally. They've gone on a few dates but Lauren wants tonight to be the night where she asks Ally to be her girlfriend which I made sure to give her the 'best friend scary talk' before dispelling her worries of being rejected.

"Hey babe, do you want to come with me to visit my parents in a few days?" I shyly ask as Dinah halt's as she opens the fridge for some juice to pour for the two of us.

"Y-you want me to meet your parents?" She stutters in slight fear.

I walk towards hers and rest my head on her shoulder, "You have nothing to worry about. I've always wanted to introduce my parents to someone very special to me."

At this point, Dinah was turning into a distant relative of a tomato but I held in my giggle at her cuteness.

"I'd be honoured." She dramatically bowed like she was showing respects to royalty.

Rolling my eyes, I grab her hand and pull us towards the couches in the living room where Jace and Alice were constantly battling for their own tv show.

"But dragons are so much cooler Alice"

"Winx Club is way better than How to Train a Dragon Jace!"

I sighed and pulled the remote that was on the table to change to a channel I know the two would be civil. Luckily for me, the opening song had just started, making the other two realise what show was on.

"EVERYDAY WHEN YOU'RE WALKING DOWN THE STREET ..." Jace and Alice yelled at the top of their lungs.

Dinah cuddled into my side as we watched the tv show with my siblings. That was until my back pocket was rumbling. I silently pointed to the phone to Dinah and left the room to pick up, not really taking into account of the called ID.

"Hello?"

"Y/N I CAN'T CALM ALLY DOWN!" Normani groaned and in the background I could heard a muffled voice repeating the same sentence over and over again.

"Did you try giving her tea? That usually works to calm her down." I responded, remembering that tea would be the go-to for our shorter friend.

"I did and all it did was make her pee five times Y/n. FIVE TIMES! You'd think after a few dates she'd be okay but I swear it gets worse as the amount of dates continue." I giggle at the truth and think for a while.

"Okay relax, I'll make my way to Ally's now. Just give me ten minutes to get Alice and Jace ready and I'll bring some things to calm her down."

Normani hummed and we hung up the call. I walked back to the living room and I stand in front of the tv, getting three heads to tilt to one side to see the tv.

"Who wants to go to Ally's house?" I say as I try to block off more of the tv as they whined at my action.

The two young ones immediately bolted to their rooms, knowing that they were going to bring their jackets and their drawing that they wanted to give to Mama H.

"What happened to Ally?" Dinah stood up and aided Jace with his jacket.

"The usual when she goes on dates with Jauregui." I reply and kneeled down to Alice.

"In the cupboard there should be a box that has a label with 'short stack' on it, could you go grab it?" I asked Dinah as I tied the shoelaces on for Alice.

She nodded and as I finished up the other foot for Alice, Dinah appeared with the cardboard box with Ally's nickname. Locking the door behind us, I drive us all the way to Ally's house with radio music entertaining the two in the back as I knew they would end up sleeping and be a hassle when I tried waking them up.

Pulling up to Ally's, we all exit out of the car and my siblings were the first to rush at the door to press the doorbell.

Soon later, Mama H popped up and knew why we were here, "She's upstairs in her room with Normani. My daughter really is driving Normani crazy."

I laugh and pass by her to get to Ally's room. Walking closer to the room, anyone would think that a person inside there was going crazy.

I take the box from Dinah's hands and turn the knob to see Normani exhausted.

"ALLY I SWEAR YOU'LL BE OKAY!" Normani whined and fell on our friend's bed.

"YOU DON'T KNOW THAT! She called me out of the blue on a date but I know there's a catch." Ally mumbled, "Maybe she doesn't want to be with me anymore!"

I rolled my eyes and I can tell Dinah is stunned at how similar Lauren was when she was anxious.

"Alright woman, let's get you to sit down." I spoke up and two of my friends looked right at me in happiness. Normani sighed in relief and dragged Dinah with her to the bed.

Pulling Ally to sit on the floor, I open the box and place it right in front of her. I took out a few things that was making her eyes gleam in excitement and gave them to her. There wasn't much I could do besides feed her some of dark chocolate which I heard improves blood flow to the brain and has the ability to adapt to stressful situations.

"You know that Lauren likes you a lot Ally. I wouldn't have helped you realise your crush on her if I didn't think she was fit to date you." I rubbed Ally's free hand that wasn't holding the chocolate that she had devoured instantly.

"Plus she would be dumb to let you go. Have you seen yourself? You're literally the definition of happiness. You're intelligent, beautiful and your smile is so contagious."

"Don't forget that she's a ray of sunshine." Normani chimed in.

"What she said." I pointed at our friend and looked at Ally who had visibly calmed down, "You alright now?"

Ally nodded and stood up, "Now that you're here, you might as well help Normani and Dinah pick out an outfit for me."

I roll my eyes once again but I smile at Ally's outstretched hand towards me.

My best friends may give me the cold shoulder time to time because of my decision to donate my kidney to mum but we're best friends and we care for each other too much uphold our childish antics.
