Lauren's POV

"Let's watch a movie." Camila says as we no longer were doing anything in the room.

So the rest of the girls and got up from our bottoms to go downstairs to the lounge room that has a massive television screen.

I plopped down on the sofa and watched Normani and Camila go through her DVD collection of movies that she had accumulated ever since Camila was ten when Alejandro had bought her The High School Musical franchise.

I adverted away from the two and realised that Ally hadn't walked beside us when leaving the room. Actually neither did Y/N or Dinah. Is Ally already setting the two up? Though not long later, Ally walked into the room with a smile on her face. I've got to thank her parents for creating such a beautiful specimen.

"Is Dinah and Y/N not joining us?" I ask as Ally slumps right into my arms as Camila finally puts in one of the disks into the DVD player from the many folders that swallow up to her ankles.

"Dinah fell asleep in Y/N's arms. I told her that I would come upstairs later to check on them." I hummed and hugged her closer to my side as I braced myself for the most sappiest yet romantic movie in history, The Notebook.

"Camz do we really need to watch The Notebook?" I whined as the movie barely played a minute in. Out of the movies that she had to choose of course she wanted to watch him on the television to drool over her celebrity husband, Ryan Gosling.

Although Ally hushed me as well as pecking my cheek multiple of times to change my frown to a smile. I assumed it was a way for her to shut me up and honestly it had worked. Kind of scary how she has me wrapped her finger but she's special to me so I'll allow myself to be whipped for this bundle of joy in my arms as we watched the screen.

"Why didn't you write me? Why?!" Allie yelled with tears evident dripped down her face.

"It wasn't over for me. I waited for you for seven years. But now it's too late." Noah in disbelief broke out of his silence.

"I wrote you 365 letters. I wrote you every day for a year! It wasn't over, it still isn't over." Noah pulls Allie on the sides of her face and crash their lips.

At this point we all looked like a mess with runny noses and teary eyes for the relationship between the main characters.

I could feel Ally try to move out of my arms but I didn't want her to go anywhere so my grip tightened around her hips which made her giggle but sniffle at the same time.

"I just need to go check on Y/N." I had forgotten about that but I shook my head and got myself off the couch.

"It's okay baby, I'll go check on those two. You love The Notebook more than I do so you sit tight and keep the seat warm until I come back." Ally didn't fight back and nodded as I went back upstairs to Camila's room.

I wonder what kind of words of advice I should say to Y/N. I really don't know much about her but there has to kind of words to this brain of mine that could aid my best friend's relationship status.

I knocked on the door lightly and opened it slowly to see Y/N carrying Dinah in her arms that was actually sleeping. Even though Y/N was taller than Dinah, I didn't expect her to be able to carry Dinah. I didn't really think she had the physical capabilities because of her thin figure but then she did explain today's events of carrying Dinah to the nurses office from that not so helpful douche Rossden.

Y/N manoeuvred Dinah onto her thighs when she brought them both to Camila's bed. I hadn't made my presence known as I continued to observe the way Y/N was treating Dinah. It was like Dinah was the most important thing in the world, so fragile and scared of breaking something so beautiful in her fingertips.

"I know you're there." Y/N whispered, not looking up from gazing over Dinah's sleeping state. I cleared my throat when walking through the door and sat at the end of the bed.

"I'm going to get straight to the point Y/N so give me your genuine answer to what I'm about to ask you." I paused so I could get a response from her and I got a nod, "What are your intentions with my best friend?"

"Honestly I want her to break my walls down." Y/N looked up and something about what her eyes were showing me made me really see a different side to her. I actually think I'm seeing Y/N's true side.

"I think you have a gist of knowledge of my family problems but there's so much that I've blocked away because of my fear." She sighed and ran her hand through her hair. "I will tell you that I had no intention to hurt Dinah or degrade her in any way. She's someone that I've never thought who could lower the barrier I've made over many years from the broken relationship between my parents within minutes of talking or just being in her presence."

I was surprised that Y/N was being real with me. I didn't anticipate for any of those words to be spoken out of her mouth neither did I think she would drop her usual cocky and teasing persona.

"I hope that you understand that the way I act isn't who I really am. I'm sure that Ally and Normani have told you girls and I'm sorry that I'm not being my genuine self but I really believe that one day I'll be comfortable to break away from who I've built to keep myself safe."

I nod my head, not knowing what to say after her words but I still want to squeeze in about herself and Dinah.

"Can I just give you my mind?" Y/N signalled me to continue on, "Even with the way you perceive yourself to us, Dinah will accept you no matter what. I've seen Dinah's crushes come and go but I really think you're the right one for her. She needs someone that can be for her and I know she'll do the same for you. So take her on a date Y/N. Let her see your different sides and it will help you overcome your fear."

"My fear will be hard to overcome but if it's for Dinah, I'll try my best." Y/N said with confidence flaring in her eyes as her smile was like a genuine 'thank you'.

"Well I better have my best friend squealing at Camila and I in happiness by the end of the night Y/L/N." I grinned and made my way out of the room.

Usually I would avoid hearing Dinah run her mouth on something that excited her but this one time I'm actually waiting patiently to hear and see my best friend in high spirits.
