Matt's P.O.V

I'm not ashamed to say I was falling for her. I was falling hard. I was falling with the force of hale but at the speed of snow. I didn't know it yet but I was.
"Uhm. Hold on. You have a cut...." She said, her voice trailing off. I hadn't noticed how close we were. I could smell her pomegranate Chapstick. Her eyebrows were creased in concern. Her eyes were focused on a tiny cut on my jaw. She was so cute. Just so fucking adorable.
"Matt are you coming?" She said. She was standing up, holding her hand out. I smiled and grabbed it. A buzz went up my arm. She shivered.
"You okay?" I asked. She gave me a crooked grin and gave me a small nod.
I opened the janitor's closet while Avi turned off the light. We stepped out and the bell still hadn't rung.
"Where exactly are we going?" I asked. Avi smirked.
"Spoilers sweetie." She said excitedly. I chuckled. She pulled me along. We went through a bunch of hallways. Then she came to this blank wall.
"OMFG!!" I yelled. I swear to God, Avi jumped 5ft in the air. She turned around and shoved me while I was trying to regain my breath from laughing so hard.
"What the hell is wrong with you mate!" she whispered. I laughed even harder.
"You scared the living day lights out of me!" She said. I was on the floor at this point.
"Get a grip." She said turning to the wall. I regained my composure.
"Oi!" I yelled. Avi turned to look at me confused.
"No really. Get a grip on the wall." She said rolling her eyes. I smiled.
"Sorry? How am I supposed to 'get a grip' on a wall with nothing to hold on to?" I asked. Avi smiled an oh-the-poor-thing-has-no-idea kind of smile. She walked over to this thing jutting out of the wall.
"I didn't see that." I said, confused beyond confusion. She gave a short laugh.
"Of course you couldn't see it, silly! There's a perception filter on the wall." Avi said. She said it like it was as common as a tulip growing out of a bulb.
"A what?"
"A perception filter."
"What the hell is a perception filter?"
"Spoilers sweetie."
"Really?" I said frustratedly. She's such a child. She started laughing. Her laugh was the best thing ever. It was contagious and loud and carefree.
"No. Just messing with you. A perception filter is something that you use when you want to hide something in plain sight. It makes the conspicuous inconspicuous." She said pulling on the handle. She swore under her breath.
"It's locked." She said, clearly annoyed. then her eyes lightened.
"How are we supposed to open it?" I said. Her eyebrows creased in concentration. Then she whispered something.
"Eureka."
"What?"
"I have just the thing to unlock it, but it's back at my dorm." She said. As she said that the bell rang. She jumped.
"Cheese and sprinkles." She said laughing. I guess loud things startle her? We both reached for our schedules. We had two completely different classes next. She was going an art class and I was going to a maths class.
"Well, I guess I'll see you later." Avi said. I winked at her.
"Okay." I said tripping on nothing. I regained my balance and she was laughing.
"Okay then. You might be clumsier than I am." She said squeezing my forearm. I grinned goofily.
"Allonsy! You're gonna be late." She said. Well that was interesting. That's something my dad would say.
